Unique Reception Sites

Hello! Anyone have any experiences with a low key unique wedding? I'm looking into museums and old estates - but it's not easy to find them! Any suggestions would be appreciated! ALSO - anyone have any experience with Queens County Farm Museum or Nassau Art Museum? Thanks for the help!

There's an Otto Kahn mansion in manhattan that's beautiful. I married a Goth couple there once and it was on the reasonable side by their standards price wise. There is also a Victorian Greenhouse at the Bklyn Botanical Garden. Or perhaps a B&B? Good luck in your search!

I performed at a wedding this weekend at Dowling College's Vanderbilt Mansion. The ambiance and views were incredible, and catering by Lovin Oven was exceptional!

As a vocalist for a LI wedding band, I agree that Dowliing College is really beautiful. Along that line you may want to check out Deservesky Mansion in the Brookville Area, the Harrison Conference Center in Glen Cove, as well as some of Long Island's finest vineyards.

I have also worked at Nassau County Museum, and that was very beautiful and unique. You may want to check into it further to see if there are any restrictions with regard to access throughout the facility and grounds.

The Nassau Museum Of Art is a beautiful location. De Seversky Conference Center in Old Westbury is definitely old world charm.The Vanderbilt Mansion at Dowling College is another gem. My personal band as well as DJ's from my office have played for many weddings at each of these locations- they are all delightful.
