Vendor interaction

Hello all,

I'm not sure if this is in the right place for this but it is indirectly vendors helping Brides so here goes!My question is what can we as vendors do to make the other vendors jobs better or worse? For example I ask my couples to face their guests during most of the ceremony and when not they face eachother showing a profile, they also go in back of the altar for unity candles again so the photographer can get better shots and so the guests feel more included. Everyone knows that starting the ceremony on time extremely important at a catering hall because the food is being timed to come out perfect. Is there anything that you as a wedding professional can think of that you wish never happened or always happened with other vendors? Any pet peeves or human wd40 you can share? I think it will help us all work on the total package to hear how we effect eachother!

Re: Vendor interaction

One of the things that would help everyone is when there is a possiblity of change of time from the originally contracted time- before a definite change is made- each of the vendors should be contacted to find out if it is possible to make the time change.
If a Band or DJ or String Quartet is coming from another location - moving a ceremony or reception to an earlier time might cause a problem. Also if a date has to be changed-first contact each vendor to make sure they are available instead of assuming the new date will work for everyone involved. We have all run into these situations and it would be great to avoid the conflicts they cause .
