Yet another idea that was brought to our attention was getting married at a beach. We are looking at a few on both the north and south shore but really prefer the south right on the ocean....
Has anyone ever gone to such at Smiths Point? What did you think of it? Personally I have never been to a simple beach wedding and have no idea what to expect...or where to begin. I have contacted the Parks Department but they could not really give me much inforamtion.

Hi,
I dont know much about Smith Points Park but,a friend of a mine, got married at Jones beach, on the beach, and used the restaurant there for her reception, and it was so nice. The food at the restaurant there is excellent, and the beach ceremony, was very unique and special. I would definitly check them out, and most of the beach clubs offer wedding packages, were you can use their beach then a hall that they have.
