Wedding Coordinators-- Do you expect a tip??

Just wondering here-- I know the general rule is that you do not tip someone who has their own business, and this is typically solidified when you pay in cash... I just want to do the right thing, but I do not want to throw more money at someone if I don't NEED to..

I was thinking like a nice thank you gift instead of an actual tip-- but just wanted to know if tips were expected, and what the general expectation would be.
