Re: Repost from BHB Board - Please Help Me!

Hi Beachbride,

I say Go For IT! Beach weddings are sooooo beautiful. Almost any month is good. May can be a little rainy and so can September but you can get tents with sides just in case it does rain. I have been to many beach weddings and had a blast. In fact one wedding in the Hamptons that I went to it did rain but no one really seemed to notice - we were having too good a time.

Good luck and Happy planning!

Hi beachbride,

I would definately go for your dream wedding. I would try for the end Of May maybe 1st week in June. You want to keep it on the cooler side when you have to wear your gown. I know I was a nervous wreck, and sometimes when I get nervous... I get warm.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do. I'm sure as you, :EMO32 the day will be beautiful no matter what!

Sometimes it's not a matter of yes or no but how. Have you considered Atlantica?

If you don't go for it, and the weather turns out to be beautiful, you will always regret not taking advantage of such a special location, which is not just the beachfront you want, but also the personal family connection. No commercial venue can ever live up to that! Personally, I would not choose a month when it could be cold as well as wet, but would go for a later date, say July, then even if it rains, it's warm rain! Wet is OK. Cold is OK. Wet and cold is not OK. Good luck whatever you decide.

AHOY Beachbride04,

Allow me to introduce myself to you. I am Tom Gross, owner of East Coast Yacht Charters,Inc.

I read your post with regard to your wedding on the waterfront and that you had not yet found a location that you could use in the event of inclement weather.

Please peruse our website and if you are interested in having your ceremony and reception on board one of our climate controlled luxury yachts, we can offer you an
'all inclusive waterfront wedding' with your choice of location either sailing from Long Island cruising the Gold Coast of Long Island or sailing into NY Harbor and the Statue of Liberty.

Please feel free to call me and I will personally answer your questions.
Please keep in mind we offer off season packages for the months of October-April, and our peak season is May1st-Sept 30th.
Thank you and best regards
Tom Gross, President
