We don't want to stray too far (less than 40 mins) from our church (Huntington), any suggestions/reommendations?
We have visited Centerport Yacht Club (nice, but wierd room set up). Northport Yacht Club (great location and beautiful facility, but too small) The Bay Club in Huntington (a definite possibility) PJCC (wasn't too impressed) and drove by the Sewhanaka (sp?) on Centre Island (awesome views and nice facility - need to call for additional info).
Any others?

Take a look at the Nissequogue Golf/Country Club.
Cal Joseph Carraher (manager) at (631) 584-7733 to set up an appointment. He is a friend of mine and does beautiful work.
Another beautiful location and plenty of room is
Manhasset Bay Yacht Club.Call John Tuscano (manager)
at (516)-767-2150 -also a friend of mine.I have provided bands and DJ`s at both locations and they are extremely nice.Southward Ho Country Club in Bay Shore contact Alain De Coster (631) 665-1710 ext221.
A spectacular location and food is De Seversky Conference Center in Old Westbury on Route 25A.

I forgot to mention in my prior message to you that the clubs I suggested are private country clubs.If you speak with the manager of each location (Manhasset Bay Yacht Club-John Tuscano etc) and mention my name they will accept functions from clients that are not members of the club.Regarding De Seversky-even though it is not waterfront -they have a beautiful outside tent that can accomodate 300 plus guests(speak to Bob Ventresca)and the entrance to the mansion and the grounds are spectacular.The inside of De Seversky is beautiful but there is a limit on the number of guests for the inside part.If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at my email [email protected]
I hope this was helpful.I apologize for not mentioning the above in my previous message. Each of the managers at the locations are nice people.There is a new banquest manager (Alain) at Southward Ho Country Club in Bayshore.He is the former head chef at the Piping Rock Club in Locust Valley and he has incredibly turned around the quality of the food at Southward Ho.It used to be just OK but with the changes Alain made it is now excellent.
