I know it's not Garden City but there are 2 places that I go to brunch all the time. One place is called Swing the Teapot in Floral Park and the other is like New Hyde park (but it's Queens but right next to Nassau) is Tavern 18.
In Garden City I'm not too sure of, ummmm, You can try Pulglia's on Stewart Ave, they are AMAZING! I had my shower there.

The Garden City Hotel has an amazing brunch buffet on Sundays!

Never Been, but Grand Lux does brunch and they have red velvet pancakes!
