Budget Cuts _ 140 Jobs Lost?!

My School District decided that due to the lovely Governor Coumo's cuts in School Aide they will have to cut jobs. From what they are saying they will cut 140 jobs district wide by June. I am scared s**tless! I have only been with the district for two years so yes I am on the bottom of the totem pole.
Has anyone else here on the island heard this in their districts? We are so screwed if this happens. Please say prayers that the district will find another way & not cut so many jobs!! TIA
