Yet another TY question...

1) Did you guys put something like 'Thank you for your generous gift. We plan on using it for ___.' Because all the thank you etiquette site say to do that. We're not saving for anything in particular, just saving so that we have savings! I guess we're saving for our little one on the way, and new home in like 3-4 years.

2) What did you write for people that sent gifts and didn't come?
I'm thinking something like 'Thank you for thinking of us our our wedding day.' I don't like saying 'Sorry you weren't able to make it.'

1. Not really- for some people I wrote that we were using it to save for a house but only the ones I was really stuck on and needed filler.

2. I just said 'Wish you could've been there to celebrate with us. We'll have to get together for dinner soon.' or something to that effect.

1- Nope. Just said thank you for your generous gift. It was greatly appreciated.

2- Thank you for your generous gift. You were missed at the wedding.
