I loved my cake. I had chocolate cake with canolli filling and raspberry. It was to die for. My guests where all talking about it.

---

YAY!!! You are the first person to ever respond about the cake - i've started like 4 topics in the past about it...

I'm soooo glad to hear that it's yummy!!! They don't allow tastings which I find odd - but go with the flow I guess...

---

How can you pick something like flavors without a tasting?

What is everyone doing for the cocktail hour buffet stations?

---

I'm definitely choosing Italian, and maybe fajita too.

Carving station: Corned Beef and Pastrami

I can't even remember what we had . . . oops , but I just wanted to offer some advice. Our Bridal Attendant brought us up a sampler of the cocktail hour to our bridal suite and it was the best idea ever. At first I thought, of course I will have time to eat down there, I am going to the entire CH, but I wound up mingling the whole time and would have never gotten around to eating if they didn't bring the food to us.

Does anyone know what the Fox Hollow's capabilities are for playing music (via iPod or CD) at the ceremony? I am planning to have mine outdoors (but may have to move it indoors in case of rain/cold weather) and am thinking of just having a few cds played instead of hiring a live musician. Do they have this capability indoors and out? Would someone from the FH play DJ for me or would I have to designate a guest to do so?

(Or should I just have someone bring a CD player???)

Any help is appreciated!

---

We went with FM Entertainment and I highly recommend them. They were reasonably priced and did an excellent job on the day of. We did not get any fancy package, just a DJ and it was under 1000. Personally, I think music is the one area where I would not skimp. As a previous poster stated, It really does make or break the wedding.

we are just spending the extra money for the dj to do it.. we think its worth the extra 200. its the most important part of the wedding and we dont want the hall to mess it up
