Worst thing happened today!!!

So, we've been married for three weeks and today my DH lost his wedding band!

We went to my parents' beach house for the day and he lost it while throwing a football around in the ocean with my brother-in-law. He suddenly realized it wasn't on his finger, but by then it was gone. We looked for it for an hour and about 20 other random people from the beach even joined in, but it's gone...I'm so upset. I can't believe that we were in the ocean every day for 10 days in Barbados and he didn't lose it, but he was in the water for 15 minutes today and lost it.

I know it's not my DH's fault, and I'm not angry at him, but I'm so sad that the ring I put on his finger on our wedding day is gone forever.

We're going to the jeweler tomorrow to get a new one, but it took almost two months for the original to come in (had to be special ordered because my DH wears a size 13 ring). I hope my DH won't be without a ring for that long! (I love seeing it on his finger!!!)

Anyway, sorry to be such a Debbie Downer...I guess I just need hugs.

And tell your DHs to be careful in the ocean!!!!

the same thing with the football happened to my brother's friend except it was her engagement ring! we blocked off a like mile radius and got a metal detector!

It'll be ok. He didn't lose it on purpose!! My dad has lost about 15 wedding rings in the 34 years that my parents have been married!!

The last time that he lost it, they were at the jewelers and my dad was like 'this one fits really well' and my mom made him order 1/2 size smaller so that it would stay on his finger!

Same thing happened to my FBIL. Playing football at the beach and it flew off his finger-they looked for over three hours-they got a new ring.

don't worry sweetie!!! It can be replaced, i know it stinks, but it will be fine!

if it makes you feel any better- my DH lost his on the honeymoon!! he took a little sailboat out by himself one day, because i wanted to read on the beach.... he managed to flip the sailboat, and with the cold water, and the sun block he had just put on, the ring slipped off in the water it was like 3 days after we got married!! i was upset, but it was nothing compared to what could have happened... at least the ring is replacable....
we got him a new one as soon as we got home, and its been all good since then!
i know its sad, but it will all work out!

If it makes you feel any better, the stones in my wedding band, feel out the day of the wedding. I looked down at the reception and saw a few stones missing. I brought it to the jewler and they said they couldn't fix it. I had to order a new one.

In my eyes, it is just a ring. You are still married and you are still in love. With our with out the ring. I am going to bring my new ring to the pastor to get blessed. You could do something similar.

Things happen that are out of our control!!! Don't worry!
