I am sitting here on hold with Private Label-- crying out of control. My dress has been discontinued! They cannot and will not give me any answer as to where or when I will get my dress. They said that they cannot give me that information without Bridal Suites consent. Bridal Suite is not giving me consent. I called Paradise Bridal (extremelly nice and helpful) said that I should have had my dress by now. I cannot deal with this anymore!!! I hate this place and now I am stuck. I cannot afford hundreds of dollars of alterations to go somewhere else.

OMG - is there a possibility that Private label screw up and lost the order?
You need to go to the store in person and take someone with you - and tell them they need to fix the mistake immediately or you want your money back!
I'm sooooo sorry that you are going thru this

Re: I cannot deal with this mess anymore
Now they are telling me that they ordered my dress from an outside source and not directly through Private Label. Are they kidding me? Isn't this something that they should have told me! They are telling me that it should be in on Thursday! That will exactly 3 days short of a YEAR ago that I ordered my dress. I cannot this woman's lies anymore! I have only paid for a little more than half my dress (their policy is that you pay for the balance when the dress arrives). Should I tell her that this is it I want the dress and I am taking the dress and applying the balance to having the alterations done somewhere else?
Advice please!

I agree- go right to the store and talk to the manager or owner. It is eaiser for them to blow you off over the phone. They should be on hold with the manufacturer, not you.

Don't get upset, it will get not get your dress quicker..... Which Bridal suite did you get your dress???????? Also, take someone with you and go directly to the shop you bought your dress in - see the owner-DEMAND your money back, your wedding is in July, you can still find a dress...... Find out why they dealt with an outside company, you paid Bridal suite, your contract is with Bridal suite--No matter how they get your dress Bridal suite is responsible.....for the outcome... Make some noise, and 1yr is more then enough time to forfill their contract obligations with you..

Re: I cannot deal with this mess anymore
I have been to the store! I have argued with the owner 2 times at the store! Bea is flip and non caring!
The workers (as she kept calling herself tonight) is just a worker under the tyraid of Bea as she says! They blame everything one her. As I am crying I am telling her would you want this done to your daughter? She says no so I tell her, Then tell me where my dress is and when I am going to have it. I gave up and called my mother for some mommy support.
My mother is a very overprotective, controlling, threatining woman. So now I am no longer dealing with them! My mother is because I was so hysterical at this point! My mother has been gunning to go at this woman for the past month and I have been telling her to stay out of it, but you know what I cannot deal with her anymore.
My mother told her she has until 1pm tomorrow to get her the name of the outside source a phone number, an order date, and a confirmation number. She also told her that she has until Thursday to have the dress.
I cannot believe it has come to me getting this upset. I have been so laid back through our whole engagement. I was so proud of myself because I am normally such a type a personality.
Sorry to keep venting about this but I needed to get this out!

Re: I cannot deal with this mess anymore
Yes it was Bridal Suite in Patchogue!
The saga continues!
Bea just called my mother! They never ordered my dress until last week! She said that it will be here Thursday! I do not have to pay the balance!
Can you believe that THEY NEVER ORDERED MY DRESS FOR THE LAST YEAR!
Everytime I asked about my dress they just yesed my to death. I want to make sure no other bride goes through.
I am going to make sure that I file complaints every where!
I don't understand how they can look me in the face everytime I was in there and tell me yes, the order has been placed and we'll let you know soon
I also don't understand how they got this dress in 1 week? Something is still fishy here! I am not going to believe anything until I actually see my dress. The delivery is supposed to come in at 1pm. My Mom is going there to meet the dress! We are picking it up on Saturday and taking it out of there!
Can you all believe this-- and sadly this is not an April Fools joke-- I wish it was

Are you a sample size? Make sure they don't try to pass a sample off as your new dress. (A sample from another store, or their own) I thought the dress was discontinued, how the hel* are they getting a dress in a week?

That is what I am saying! How will I know if it is sample?

Re: I cannot deal with this mess anymore
I dunno, I guess check the seams really well for signs of the seams stretching. (a lot of bm dress samples I've seen have splitting seams) Also, check the beading, make sure all beads are on, and tight. Make sure there is no makeup, or deoderant on the dress, or dirt, especially on the hem, and train. Other than that, there is no real way of knowing if it's a sample or not.

THey never ordered your dress!!!!!! That is so wrong! I am so sorry you are going through this. Make sure when you get your dress, you take it elsewhere for alterations. How could a whole year go by and they never ordered it?! That is just awful. I am so sorry.

Well, you said they aren't making you pay the balance? I guess a sample in good condition is better than no dress. Still, I would be furious as well. I guess you could also make sure it isn't a sample by checking the record of when it was ordered, and when it was received. If they really just ordered it, it won't be a sample.

Re: I cannot deal with this mess anymore
Jamie I am so sorry that you are going through this. Having gone through this with them too, I know how you feel sweetie. One piece of advice, I would check the dress over very, very carefully before taking it out of the store, even though they are not making you pay the balance. If there is even one thing wrong with that dress do not accept it.
There are a few ways to check if the dress is a new. One way is to make sure that the manufacturer's label is in the dress. Many bridal stores rip the label out of the sample dress. Another way is the check the hem of the dress. A sample dress usually has a dirty or even a ripped hem. Check the zipper if the dress has one. The teeth should look new not like the dress has been zipped over and over again. Also check around the outside of the zipper (the stitching) for signs of strain on the material. That usually happens when people who are a size bigger than the dress force the zipper up. Also ask Bea to write on your receipt that she is giving you a brand new dress, not a sample. This will protect you in the event that you do get the dress home and discover any damages. You absolutely cannot trust Bridal Suite(Patchogue) one single bit.
