My 8/17 Wedding Review (a few pics too)
I can’t believe I’m finally married and it’s my turn to give a review. First of all the entire day was amazing. If someone were to give me a million dollars right now to plan my dream wedding, I would not have done anything differently. It was THAT perfect! I could not have done it with out LIWeddings, so thank you to everyone gave thier help and advise!
It rained during the morning, so we had to have the ceremony inside the atrium, which turned out to be beautiful and more intimate than, if we had it outdoors as planned. The rain cleared up and we were able to get tons of pictures outside.
Vanderbilt Mansion
We had both the ceremony and reception at the hall and everything went perfectly. I cannot rave enough about the food, service and atmosphere of this place. I think every one of my guests commented that they had never been to a wedding like this before. Some of my guests even took pics of the food because they were amazed by the presentation. My bridal attendant and maitre’D (can’t remember their names) were so helpful with everything. They both truly went above and beyond my expectations.
Father Steven Camp and Rabbi Applestone
We had an interfaith ceremony and it was somewhat difficult to find a team who seemed to work well together. We were a little nervous about how the ceremony would turn out, but they did an amazing job of creating a beautiful ceremony which incorporated the traditions of each religion without steping on eachothers toes.
Full House
I had a few minor problems with the band, but overall they were great. They really kept people up and dancing all day, which is great for an afternoon wedding (even my friends who usualy don't dance). A lot of people commented on how authentic the band sounded.
My only problem was that I noticed few times during dinner that they had a tape playing, which was not supposed to happen. My father spoke with them about it and not one member took a break from then on.
Jaqueline Nicole (Makeup)
She did me, my sister, and both of our mothers and everyone was thrilled with how they looked. We all got the air brush done and our makeup was as fresh at the end of the day it was in the beginning.She is not only a talented makeup artist, but she's areally nice person too.
Fairytale Makeovers (Hair)
Jennifer and two of her assistants did our hair and everyone was very happy with how it came out. They did 6 updos and 2 blow outs and were able to get us all done in 3 hours. She had so much patience with my 2 year old flowergirl and was able to get her to sit for an updo.
Burton's (Flowers)
I was very happy with the way the flowers turned out in the end, but a week before my wedding I wasn't thrilled with the attention and service that I recieved. I originally booked with the owner and he was great to work with, but when it came time for me to finalize all ofthe details I had to meet with another woman (not sure of her name) who was very abrupt, unhelpful, and had a bit of an attitude. Once I let her know I was upset, her attitude changed for the better.
But in the end, the flowers came out beautiful and the price was great.

I can not even begin to explain how great Lia and Nelson were through out the day. They took tons and tons of photos and really seemed to love what they do. I haven't seen my proofs yet, but I have no doubt that they will be amazing.

Mohonk Mountain House
We arent taking our 'real' honeymoon until December so we took a mini-moon upstate for a few days. I'm not sure who, but someone on here recommended this place, and it was a great recommendation- Thank You!. The place was on the expensive side, but it was all inclusive and the food and service were amazing. The scenery was gorgeous and it was so relaxing. It is a great place to go for a romantic weekend getaway.
