Cactus very cheap for updo's!

Hey Ladies,

I just went for my quarterly hair trim at the Cactus in Huntington (corner of New York Ave and Main St) and I asked them how much they charge for updos (or any 'do' really) and I nearly fell over -

They charge $65!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cactus is so pricely with everything else, I thought for sure the amount would be outrageous! I mean, granted, you have to go to the salon, they don't come to you, but still! For $65 I am SO there! I think for the trial they charge $50 or $55.

be careful....they might charge u ALOT more for YOU on ur wedding day. I'm sure they'll charge $65 for bridesmaids....but just make sure u ask about doing YOU for ur wedding day! If they charge u $65 as the bride, that's INSANE(in a good way!)!!!!

Thanks, Taryn! They all knew I will be the bride and I asked 3 different staff how much they'd charge me and all said $65 so YAY! I think my bridesmaids will be the same price, but still, that price is great!!!

I was gonig to say the same thing...i was just in a wedding and we got our hair done at cactus in syosset...a bridal party of 7 and the bride paid over $100 for hers...and our varied depending who did our hair and what we had done...I would get the definite prices in the beginning.

Cactus quoted me a much higher price for an updo for the wedding, plus they wanted an extra $100 per stylist to open the salon early on my day.

Staff may not know the correct pricing when it comes to bridal services.
You need to speak with the bridal consultant, she is the one that will arrange everything.
Just be careful and make sure you have everything in writing.

This Cactus isn't as huge as most are - they don't have a bridal consultant or a bridal salon. I spoke directly to the stylist, Allison, who does all the updos and other styles for weddings.

that's so great! my hairdresser who i've been going to for years actually works @ cactus, and he does incredible updos. thanks for the info. i haven't thought to ask.
