Girls can we talk about..................

PLACE CARDS>>>>>>>>>>>>

I know this must of have come up a million times, but I am having trouble deciding on what to do??

I like these but are they plain:

(Mrs_Qiana's stunning place cards)

I wanted something different like a cookie for each guest/couple and a tag attached with their table #/letter?? But will a sweet spoil their appetite, lolol. When I am a guest at a wedd, I ABSOLUTLY HATE carrying around the table number thingy. I dont want my guest to have to either. I figured a card they can just stick in their pockets.

Who is doing edible placecards??

I was thinkin the same thing. Who likes to carry around their place card? I dont know what to do either.

okay - here's something my friend sent me the other day...when i asked for her help with placecards (she's very crafty).

It touches on a few things - but they are all valid points:

It's like place cards, nobody remembers it so unless it's something you desperately want, you may want to save a bit. We did bubbles, it was too cold and barely any bubbles actually bubbled so people had soap running down their hands. (whoops, sorry) Also, remember too many cute things = gawdy. We went to a wedding where they had a million cute things and stuff to take home that it got to the point where you felt you went to a chinese auction & won the door prize, not attend a wedding. We went to a wedding and everybody got a cd of music with their favorite love songs and other songs. great idea, but I haven't listened to it since their wedding day. It was a lot of work for them and most people threw it out. They said in hindsight they shouldn't have done it. Just food for thought.

they probably won't even eat the sweet right there, they'll probably take it home so if that's what you want to do you should do it

At my friends wedd, they had chocolate place cards and the damnn things melted all over the place

I was thinking of having the place cards attached to the favors…the favors are going to be lanterns so the lantern would light their path to their seat. Or something, lol.

I love the one with just the crystal on top of the name, thats the same one I keep thinking of doing

the edible placecard sounds very cute! personally im a huge cookie/cake person though, so you might not want to take my word lol ..

Also ((health freak only can think of this sorry)) would guests not want to eat the cookie if they see everyone searching and touching everyone elses cookie? sorry to think of this

i like all the pics you posted MPAS

we were thinking of doing a placecard Christmas Tree if JT allows us - we are going to ask them.....we'd put the names and table # inside a hanging frame......I really like the idea, and its different BUT I don't know if its too much

Anyone else go to the JT open house.... this booth had a scroll instead of individual place cards that had all the names listed .... it was cool. ill try and find a pic

I love this, I cant remember a ton of place cards things in the past. OMG my cousin had cd's for PC and I never heard the CD

Thats what Im thinking too. Cookies are exensive I dont want my guests to throw out the cookie. They stuff them in their bags and it gets all mushed up. Maybe as an extra treat Ill have cookies bec I love cookies but scratch that there will be tons and tons of cookies for the VH my guests will not want them to take home

Very nice!!! You gave me the idea of wanted a huge tree but I dont know.
