Me too!!!! 11.11.07! Love North Ritz! Question: Are they allowing you guys to have a food tasting? She told me no b/c we've been there for a wedding before but by the time our wedding comes, that other wedding will have been almost 3 years ago.

Really? We went for a food tasting, but we hadn't been to a wedding there before. They should still let you taste. I would call and just ask (whoever) when the next tasting is and if you can be scheduled for it.

I think that's weird that they won't let you have a tasting because you've been there as a guest! Never heard of a rule like that!!!

You should definitely call and insist on a tasting. Why should you be treated any differently?

My FILs wanted to do a food tasting before we booked ... we were told we could be included in the next scheduled tasting, and if were were unhappy they would refund our deposit. BUT when I called to set it up they said that if we had our tasting now, we wouldn't get to have a 2nd tasting when we were ready to choose our menu. There would have been more than a year between that tasting and our wedding, so I made the decision to wait until its closer to the wedding.

I've heard so many good things about the food, that I can't imagine wanting to cancel because of not liking the food. I'm going to try to schedule one about 6 months before the wedding (so around April or May I guess).

I was told if anything changes with the menu or I guess cooks we can have a second tasting. I am going to try to insist for one. Either way, the first tasting was amazing!!!!!!!!!! NO complaints about the food at all!!

You should definitely insist on a tasting - who cares if you've been there for a wedding!!! We did our tasting super early -- about 18 months before the wedding. Now I kind of wish we waited, but maybe we can sweet talk them into a 2nd tasting.

My only disappointment at the tasting was they didn't have dessert!!!

Yea I was disappointed about that also!! Dessert is the best part of the meal!!

Is anyone else planning on decorating the ceiling? We definitely are going to, we saw it in person when we stopped in to make a payment and it was gorgeous!

We were thinking about it as well. They only allow Pedestals to touch their ceiling though. If you want someone else to decorate it I believe the NRC will make them sign all the waiver and liability papers. Were you going to do just the tulle or the tulle and the lights? Have you gotten prices yet?

We are using Pedestals as our florist, they've really been wonderful! We're going to do the tulle & the lights, I think it was $1500 but I'm not 100% sure.

I checked out NRC and it was simply BEAUTIFUL! I LOVED the ballroom! I probably wouldve booked there but I already had my mind set on the Woodlands and you all know theres NO CHANGING A BRIDES MIND ONCE SHES MADE IT UP!

We have decided to wait until closer to our wedding date to go for the tasting this way it is fresh in our minds...
