Welcome to the official October thread.

This is where the '6 month girls' can chat about our weddings, how BUSY we will be this summer (summer? what summer?) and make sure we are all on track.

I am glad too. Its my first thread I belong to. WOO HOO. I am feeling like I'm falling behind. Lot of other stress in my life and can't worry about wedding for a few weeks.

Didn't order invites yet but picked them and programs. I am planning to order in June just to get it out of the way but want to wait until we have our final meeting with our priest to finalize the programs,

How did you pick out programs. DO you know what yours will include?
Should I jsut order invites, programs and menues in one shot? When do we need to order these invites????

We didn't do limos yet either. I am not too worried about that b/c many ppl told me yu can do it like a month befor eand be fine (although I will not wiat that long).

As for invites, teh invite compnay had a cute simple program that I liked so I am just going to order from them. I may add a ribbon as a make-shift DIY if I feel the need. I think most inviet companies offer programs as well. I am prob going to make menus myself b/c I think that is prob the easiet thing to make but I am doing invites, programs, map cards all from the invite company and also going to use the addressing service (they do the computer calligraphy too) so that it will all be done. I am all about one stop shopping.

Let me knwo if any of that doesn't make sense....I am def rambling :)

ETA that our preiest gave us a book on the ceremony and mass and we also got one at pre-cana so we just need to pick readings and such and then we will kwno exactly what to put in the program

I designed my own programs. Ron started a thread back in January before WOTY asking for samples. I found a few that I liked, so I took different things from different examples. Christine made me a monogram that I'm using for the cover. The inside pages list the BP, the ceremony stuff (music, readings), the family, and a memorial/thank-you page.

If you want everything to match, order it all together. If it doesn't matter, order what you like when you find it in your price range. My hall does menus (or at least I had it written into my contract), so I'm sure they won't match whatever I'm doing with everything else. Heck, my invites are ivory, and everything else associated with this wedding that could be ivory is WHITE!

I am making my own invitations and I bought the remainder of the materials I needed yesterday. I printed our address on the back of all the invite envelopes and on the front of all of the responses - that's it so far.

My fiance bought me my earrings last weekend and now we're on the hunt for a bracelet - which is hard because my wrists are so small and nothing fits me properly.

My dress is coming in June, so I have to get my shoes before then. I also have to find BM dresses, finalize my flowers, decide on a darn honeymoon, reserve our hotel room for the night before the wedding, decide if we're taking limos or not, do a hair trial... so many little things.

I am so glad a october thread has been started. I still have alot left of planning to do. I picked out my invites but won't order them until june or july. My STD's were sent out about almost two weeks ago. I picked out my favors but won't order them for a while. I have to still pick out program cards, table names etc........

Just a thought for girls ordering programs now, what if you have a change in bridal party of someone drops out?

I did - in DECEMBER - I got a GREAT deal and I didn't want to wait. I wanted handmade paper invites, something a little different.

ETA: I am doing DIY programs and menus, so I was able to order the invites early. I'll do menus & programs later in the summer.

I found invitations that I really love but FMIL doesn't think they are fancy enough!!!

I am STRESSING now because I JUST decided to get a videographer. Originally FH and I decided against it, but now I am surprising FH with a gift and I NEED it on camera. I didn't budget for it so I am nervous I won't be able to get a good one for a low price that's not in your face.
