I have a makeup trial this week and another at the end of October... should I tip??? If so, how much? TIA!!!
Also, one is free, one I am paying for...

I tipped $15 at the free one I went to. I was going to tip$10 but I didnt want to wait for change and figured it was worth the $15...lol

i'd tip both..... just to make sure. It sucks though. You never know how much to tip.... at least I dont. I was so pissed, a photographer asked to use my dog Tink in one of her photo shoots.... Instead of paying us for the days work she took some pix of me & Tink for free. The makeup artist and hair stylist just started working their magic on me. Then the photographer said to me 'Don't forget to 'take care' of them' I forget how much I tipped, but it was way too much. What IS a decent tip???????

Maybe I'm really cheap but I wouldn't give more than $10.
WHen my sister was getting married we didn't even schedule makeup trials. We just went to Roosevelt Field Mall and walked up to counters in Bloomingdale's. The first counter we went to was Bobbi Brown and my sister fell in love with the girl that gave us free trials. We all bought a lipstick and was on our way. I'm thinking about taking the same approach.

Actually the girl that gave us our free makeup trials. She did a makeup trial on my sister as the bride and then me as the MOH and then my friend (who wasnt even in the wedding) as a BM.
My sister liked her work and asked her if she would travel to us on the day of the wedding. She said yes and my sister booked her. She did a fantastic job, I'll post pics once I find some! (Im in the middle of relocating so everything is everywhere).

oh see thats great. i as wondering.. I'm sure most of those girls would do that.. why not? they work in the mall for like $15 an hour and theyre GOOD! Thats what I MIGHT do... the problem is I dont know, since I'll be in Vegas where to go... I'm sure they have a mall that has that somewhere... I want MAC to do my makeup.

I thought what my sister did was really smart. She got three trials done by Bobbi Brown for the cost of 3 lipsticks...so like $10 each.
I'm probably going to do the same thing. I just have to find time to get over to Roosevelt Field.
Since you'll be in vegas I'm sure you could find mall locations just by looking on the 'net. Ir do a search for Mac stores in Vegas. Also search for Bloomys I think they normally have a Mac counter. This way at least when you get there you know where to go! Good luck!
