I can't believe how excited I am, we started on our new kitchen. Some more pictures added 3/21 The granite is in!!!

I hate our kitchen! Please excuse the mess i the before pictures. Here is how it started:

Another before

and yet another one

First thing we did was take down some cabinets on each side of the sink

then we took down the side counter

then we took out the wall oven and the cabinets above it and below it, plus the glass top and the cabinets under it

then I got to rip down some dry wall, that was fun!

then it was time to rip up some tile!

Boy am I tired!

Can't wait for next weekend when we finish ripping the cabinets, finishing ripping the walls down and start building new ones!

Looks great! I know Uba Tuba!!! It was a toss up between Uba Tuba and the one we chose (seriously, they were so close!).

Great choice in granite, that one picks up the warmth of the kitchen, it's not just dark, those gold specks will bring out the warm tones of your cabinets.

The fridge is in place!

Another angle. PLease don't mind the finger prints, it has dust and drywall over it from the work last week and we still need to position it within the cabinets so we did not clean it yet.

On the left you can see our new pantry that we put up (sorry I dont have a better picture.

We started laying the floor down. I am hoping to have it done this weekend.

Another pic of the floor that we do have done.

We ran into a major snag last night when we went to put the ovens in. (See first picture to get an idea of where I am talking) That open square is where the new wall oven is supposed to go, but its 8 inches to short so we are going to have to very carefully cut it this weekend. I really hope we don't screw that up.

Looks GREAT!!!! My inlaws are using Uba Tuba for their countertop. Contractors were working in there the other day, so it was hard to peek. When we can, I will take some pics..

WOW!!! its coming out GREAT!!!! i love your choice of woods/ appliances... and the lighting! it looks so elegant even without being finished

Scott- I dont know if I could do this again so soon.

Neenie- We did all of it ourselves from knocking down walls, putting them back up, installing the cabinets and the floors.
Only thing we are not doing is installing the countertops which we learned yesterday will be installed on 3/21 which is awesome! I thought we were going to have to wait weeks and weeks and weeks.
