Tasty! They're one of the most popular things at a wedding. My parents went to a wedding where the bride didn't have them b/c she thought they were tacky, and they were very disappointed!

Now, my hall offered full length hot dogs in blankets. I loved the idea, as did my dad and DH. I thought they were a bit tacky, but that everyone would just love them! However, my mom was so adamantly against them that we gave in to her wishes.

He loves them...he will pay for the extra food...fine I say - you have to pick you battles.

If I tell you EVERYONE loved them.
They were a hit and my friends were saying they couldn't believe that I didn't want them.

That's my story!

Re: Pigs in a blanket!

I was told that under no circumstances is my wedding to be devoid of these tasty sensations. FH would divorce me before we were married if he and his friends did not dine on this delicacy.

Funny story:
We were at my neice's Bat Mitzvah at a very very very posh country club in New Jersey learly ast year. The adults were served every fancy passed food imagineable. They had every possible 'station' you could think of - carving, sushi, caviar, etc.... This function was way over the top for a thirteen year old, but nonetheless, wonderful.

About 15 minutes into the cocktail hour, I lost FH (who was relatively new to my family's functions at the time) and couldn't find him. He comes back to me with a plate full of pigs in a blanket and a grin from ear to ear. I asked him 'Where did you get those?' and he replied 'I stole them from the kid's room!' Well my 60 something cousin stole a few off his plate and said 'Finally some normal food!'

Do you think men really want to eat crudite? Baby Quiche? Nah! They want all american food!

I had initially scoffed at them when I saw they were on our list of items being passed butler-style at the cocktail hour, but can I tell you they were DELISH! Everyone loved them!
