DH and his Brother hate it. Their parents used to 'drag' them every year.
I'm always like 'Boohoo - my parents took me to Gettysburg to visit historic battlefields!!'
He's coming around to it now that we have young nephews, but he'd still rather be anywhere else.
lol - I thought my parents were the only ones that dragged us to Gettysburg --- and let's not forget Lancaster County, home of the Amish!!!

How could I forget?? The Kutztown Amish festival with all those butter churning contests and the electricity free 'rides'.
I had one WILD childhood!!

Re: Disney haters
I love disney. I wanted to go since I was 3, and I ddin't get to go until I was 20 and I LOVED it. But I went in january (no crowds, no lines, cool weather, cheap hotel, cheap airfare)...so it was totally ideal and perfect. Also some of thier new stuff is just awesome. i can understand why some of the rides can seem boring..I'm no huge fan of peter pan's flight, and stuff and I just go on samll worl b/c you HAVE to..but some of the new stuff, like philharmagic, are just too awesome.
I really hope they build the propsed 'beastly Kingdom' add on to Animal Kingdom..it's supposed to be this aamzing coaster park. I think that would really round it out and add more stuff for adults, etc.
I am a total child at heart though. When I'm there, it's REALLY Mickey..you know. I'm a MAJOR dork.

Re: Disney haters
I am not so much as a Disney hater, but I didn't like it when I went there at all. However, when DH and I have kids in the future, I will def take them there.
I just thought it was boring and as a child I was never into all that disney stuff(mickey, minnie, cinderella).

You have to go at a non busy time of year. Cheaper and no crowds!

Re: Disney haters
We went on our honeymoon and I loathed it! It was spring break for the southern schools so just to get a drink was a good 45 minutes. By the end of the day and three hours just to get to the parking lot, I was in tears. I was much happier at the smaller attractions near disney. The best time of my honeymoon was looking at new homes, etc.

Re: Disney haters
I haven't been there in years and DH and I have never been there together - would like to go back, but def not looking forward to all those lines and tons of kids!! Personally, I never understood all those people who go to Disney on their HM - last place I'd want to be is with a bunch of kids!!!!
