Help me pick a cocktail station!!

Help me pick a cocktail station!!

This is the last thing we need to decide on before our menu is completely set!!

As a wedding guest, would you prefer a pasta station (a chef making pastas to order - there would be a choice of a couple of pastas and a choice of sauces and toppings), or a risotto station (risottos made to order by a chef with choice of toppings)??

Not sure if pastas are too played out at weddings, or if risottos are too unusual..

Thanks!!

Nope, we're not.

FH thinks a pasta station is a little boring...like, everyone eats pasta...whereas risotto is a little more intresting...

Thanks! I think I'm starting to lean this way...FH keeps saying that at weddings people tend to eat stuff they don't typically eat, which is prob true!

Arborio rice..when cooked it's creamy and yummy. You can flavor it any way you like and it holds onto the flavor a lot better than regular rice.

Hey Becky! As someone who is highly allergic to dairy and has a hard time finding things to eat at weddings, I'd choose the pasta. At least that way I could choose a sauce without dairy in it. I agree with your thinking about risotto being more interesting though. Just thought I'd give you the opinion of someone with food allergies.

The rice itself does not contain dairy.

But the vast majority of the time cheese is used as an ingredient in the overall dish . At least that has been my experience. Just my two cents.

i don't really like eating either at a cocktail hour because they're so filling...but i think more people will eat the pasta.
