Heck, i can barely afford to ride in the underbelly of the plane with the luggage...so I will be riding coach!

Re: POLL: Honeymoon Airfare
We are flying coach only because we aren't paying for our flight. My mom is giving us some of her American Advantage miles and I didn't think it was fair to use them ALL up by flying first class.

Re: POLL: Honeymoon Airfare
We're probably going to end up coach. But I feel bad since my FI is a big guy and those seats aren't really made with him in mind. With a long flight to Hawaii I know he'd be more comfy in 1st class but that's only gonna happen if we come across a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!

FH is 6'3 and husky. Him sitting in coach is like having 2 lbs of bologna in a 1 lb bag!! Not that I'm complaining, it'll be my first time in first class! (and probably my last!)

We have coach tix on Air Mexico and I'm using all of my AMEX points to upgrade to first class

Re: POLL: Honeymoon Airfare
I'd rather spend the extra money on stuff once I get to my destination rather than on a few hours in 1st class.
I hope we end up going First Class. I am assuming that we will be able to bump up with mileage.

First Class...
I need tons of R & R and it will have to start with the flight.

Re: POLL: Honeymoon Airfare
definitely coach. i never even thought about upgrading to first class - i would rather spend that $$$ to add a day or two to my trip!

Re: POLL: Honeymoon Airfare
coach- i would prefer first class- but its really not worth the money for a few hours...rather spend the $$$ on more expensive hotels

Re: POLL: Honeymoon Airfare
Depends on where we end up going. My FH is used to first class bc his company flies him first class. Ive never been. Probably going to do first class. I agree that its kind of a waste of money.

Re: POLL: Honeymoon Airfare
Would love to fly first class b/c of the long flight time, but it is about triple the cost of coach, not worth it!

Re: POLL: Honeymoon Airfare
We are only flying to Florida, so it hardly seems worth it. If we were flying to Europe, I would think about first class.

Re: POLL: Honeymoon Airfare
Here is something to consider ladies. When FH and I flew to Mexico, there was a website that has the layouts of the planes and you can find out where the 'Emergency Exit' aisles are. If you do the e-check in within 24 hours BEFORE your flight, you can often book these rows that have extra leg room in the front AND NO CHILDREN ARE PERMITTED IN THESE ROWS! If you book the SECOND of the emergency exit rows on some of these planes, it is likely that the row in front of you will not have the capacity to recline. This is what we did. The airlines will not book seating in these aisles until 24 hours before the flight. FH is a big guy too and this saved us a lot of aggravation
