teachers.. website to adopt a school in south- we can do our part to help our fellow teachers down south!

http://www.technospudprojects.com/Projects/hurricanehelp/hurricanehelp.htm

this is a website where your class can 'adopt' a class down south and send them supplies they desperately need, especially the schools that are taking on additional students.

I went on the website and registration is temporarily closed since over 500 teachers registered in 48 hours!! but they said they will be reopening in middle of september. I am going to give this to my asst prinicpal. print out the page and give to your principal or other teachers... I am so glad I found this!!

That's awesome...thanks for sharing. I also read on the bottom that classes can also send packages around the holidays. I think that's great because unfortunately it seems like people in general tend to forget about these tragedies as time goes by. I bookmarked it and will definitely check it out again in a few weeks!
