Ladies, what things do you suggest to bring on HM?? Please suggest non clothes items AND clothing items.
For instance, i have lots of 'going out' clothes, but what daytime wear do you suggest??
THANKS

Re: Past brides: HM 'must haves'
If you're going tropical bring different types of sandals, some that can handle being in the sand. Also, bring things to cover up your bathing suit. SOmething nice and airy. Bring a few differnt bathing suits so you always have a dry one. Bring a few nice dresses for going to dinner and some regular springy dresses that can be used daytime into night.
Bring bug spray!

You may wonder where my head is, but these are MUST HAVES:
IMMODIUM PEPTO BISMOL (pills better for travelling) TUMS Dramamine (and perhaps Compazine) for nausea
Non belly related: Benadryl Bacitracin

Since you are going where we went for our HM, I can testify whole heartedly to these!!!
Also pick up nasal spray. May sound insane, but I had constant nosebleeds on the plane and the first few days of the HM because of the dry air. When I bought some in their gift shop, it ended up being $11!!!!
Also sunscreen of at least 30 or 45. I had on 30 the last day and STILL got burned.
As for during the day, everyone pretty much was casual, bathing suits, tank tops, t-shirts, shorts & flip flops. Don't forget your sunglasses!
Only other thing I can think of is maybe Noxema in case you get burned. But they do supply you with Aloe Vera soap and lotion in your room.
Any questions, feel free to ask!! You're both going to have a blast!

Re: Past brides: HM 'must haves'
i think my 2 best purchases for the HM were
1) Teva ( or similar) sandals with a hard sole and straps- they're not the most fashionable things at all, but they can stand up to the sand ( and don't flip sand up on your butt like flip flops do! ) you can wear them in the water if you want to while you're snorkeling and stuff, and they can hold up hiking to waterfalls, etc
2) our own snorkeling sets- we got them at target for like $20. they were sort of a pain to pack, but i'm glad we got them...that way we didn't have to use the nasty ones from the resort. also, our resort had little motor boats that we could take out on our own, and we would go 'explore' other islands nearby and go out snorkeling on our own, so i was glad we had our own stuff

Re: Past brides: HM 'must haves'
Considering you are going to a tropical place, there are some key things you will need! 1) Sunscreen & after sun lotion
2) sandals - flip flops work best on the beach & just hanging out
3) bathing suit cover up & several bathing suits (always have a dry one ready to go)
4) lip balm with sunscreen (you would be surprised how quickly your lips burn)
5) sunhat - this comes in handy especially to keep your head cool & also if you begin to burn on your forehead, you can cover up
6) sunglasses
Medical needs
1) Tums or any antiacids ( you are going to be eating different foods)
2) Advil for headaches & also to allievate the sunburn feeling
3) allergy mediciation - anything over the counter will work!
4) Visine - to help with dry eyes
Others
1) Shout wipes - you never know if you will have a mishap! Chances are, you will not be doing your laundry til you are home
2) travel sewing kit - I had to use ours. One of the buttons fell off my shirt & I had to sew it back on
3) snorkeling equipment - we purchased our own after our last cruise. I got grossed out when I used a mask & snorkel that someone else used (even though it was disinfected)
4) wrinkle release spray - you would be amazed at how some things can wrinkle with being in the suitcase...
5) Travel iron - I always carry mine (even if a room has it)
I hope these helped!!!

Contact lens wetting drops or regular eye drops. The water in the Bahamas made my eyes very red & itchy.

Re: Past brides: HM 'must haves'
I forgot my sunglasses! I suggest a large variety of bathing suits because you might go swimming then do something else and your suit from the morning isnt dry yet... Bring calamine lotion in case you get bug bites.
