Stupid Me! What should I do?

So, I flew to Rochester this weekend to see my family! My parents were nice enough to go to BJ's and buy all the disposable cameras I would need for the guest tables at thw wedding, so I packed them into my carry on.

Well, stupid me, they went thru the scanner at security and the film is 800 speed. My bag was inspected at Rochester and they said the film packs never should have gone through the scanner and should have been personally inspected. They stated the film may be exposed now even though their signs said 800 speed and lower was safe, but what should I do???????

you'll be okay!!!

i just went through 2 airports and SPECIFICALLY asked at both about 800 speed. they said 800 speed is FINE!! they recommend hand examining anything ABOVE 800 so you should be okay!

if you're that worried, take pictures and develop one. that way you'll know for sure

please dont do that - BJ's would just restock them and potenetially scr*w over another bride!

I would use one and have it developed!

Betsy that happened to me - but not with the carry on scanner - with the heavy duty luggage compartment scanner in a FOREIGN airport, with 400 speed film. Everything was fine.

However, if you are truly worried, I agree with the other girls, use one and get it developed.

Don't worry though I am sure they will work.

Please don't return them if you think they are ruined. That would be such a cruel thing to do to another bride for what.......at the most 200 bucks? Is that the price of your soul?

Please try one and see if it's still good. It not get new ones.

thats what i was gonn say......take them back..get the store credit and go buy new ones!
im sure the film is fine bc ive done the same thing...and used it and it came out fine! But just to play it safe....i say do the ol switch a roo!!!

I suggest this as well.

Try one out and see how it is.

Last year FH and I went on Vacation and had 800 speed film. We had the film out and ready to be hand checked and the security refused to hand check it. They said it had to go under the scanner and they said anything under 1000 speed is fine. Since we were in the special check line and were just going to make our flight as it was, we did not argue. All our film was ruined!! I was so upset, so defintiely check to see if one works and if they don't, buy new ones.

Kind of extreme wording.....I tend to agree with the point though. I would NOT return them, use one and develop it, if they don't work, I guess you are out of luck....sorry that happened
