Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT give these people any business. I am hysterical in tears.
4 months ago, I called them to block rooms for our wedding. I told them in NO UNCERTAIN TERMS that we needed 40 rooms for our OOT guests. That is a minimum... we have over 100 people coming from other states. They told me that they would block 20 rooms. I said 'NO - 40' They gave me a song & dance about how they cannot do that but they'll block 20 now & I can 'always add more rooms later.' I have been calling weekly for updates on how many rooms are booked & asking to book more but they kept saying that I coulnd't block more until I filled the 20.
So I get a call from a guest saying that there are no rooms available and what should she do? I call the BW to ask how many rooms are blocked. All 20. I say 'well HELLO, add more rooms to my block like you said you would.' Oh, sorry, THERE ARE NO MORE ROOMS LEFT. THEY BLOCKED OFF 60 ROOMS FOR 2 OTHER WEDDINGS (do the math, they gave someone more that 20 rooms) and there is no room left for my wedding. She then tells me that I can 'wait until 30 days prior to the wedding and see if some rooms get released.' Is she f*cking kidding me?
I now have a 200 person wedding with 100+ people coming from New England & they have nowhere to stay. The wedding is in Westhampton & there are LITERALLY no hotels. The Holiday Inn Express is all booked up too.
So glad I booked a 56 person BUS to bring my guests to & from a hotel that HAS NO ROOMS for them.
I am fuming right now. They totally f*cked me over.

Re: Stay away from the Best Western East End
I am sooo sorry to hear that...Listen try the courtyard marriott, it is new so hopefully it wont be all booked up yet, Not sure how far it is from where your wedding is but maybe it will be within a reasonable distance, plus you said you rented a bus. Good luck and hope it will all work out

Re: Stay away from the Best Western East End
I tried to block rooms with them, and they were overall unpleasant and I went elsewhere.
I put my immediate family up at Bowens by the Bay in Hampton Bays. I'm not sure how many rooms they have total, but they have motel-style rooms and cottages. I met with the owners, and they were VERY nice. They gave my parents a great deal based on the # of rooms and length of stay. http://www.bowensbythebays.com/
they are on montauk highway not far from the 24 intersection, so your bus could easily stop there between riverhead and the wedding.

Try the Hampton Inn right on the LIE at exit 63 - I think it's Farmingville. I stayed there once and the rooms were really nice.

Re: Stay away from the Best Western East End
I had the same expereince with them!! They were a REAL pain. Try the holiday Inn express that just opened in Riverhead by the outlets. I also used Bowens in as well as the Ocean View Terrace Hampton Bays.
