OMG!! I thought you ordered already? You can scout out sample sales...Bridal Elegance has a whole rack of $99 dresses.

You can always go to different salons and get stuff that is off-the-rack, for lack of a better term.

I am being told that my dress is white though it looks like ivory. I am being told that they might not be willing to change the fabric of the dress in order to accomodate what I want my dress to be. They may but I will not know until Tuesday at the earliest. I want to have some options because I DO NOT want to wear and ivory or ivory looking dress (not that there is anything wrong with ivory it's just not what i want) anyway if need be I will be getting my dress else where and need to know where I can get a dress in 4 months.

RK Bridal has a list of dresses you can get in 3 months or less. PLEASE GO SEE THEM! I sometimes wish I had checked out RK before I bought my dress, but whatever. They're open everyday and you do not need an appointment.

They're in Manhattan on 39th Street btw 8th and 9th Avenues.

You can also check out David's Bridal. Is your avatar the dress you ordered? Let me see if I can find something a bit similar...

Wow, its a stunning dress. But I understand if its not what you want. Def try out these suggestions. I am not in the area, so I can't really offer other places. but just wanted to wish you GL!!! I hope you find what you love.

I have to say, if they have a swatch of 'white' and when they put it next to your dress, it doesn't match, then why the heck aren't they going to re-do the dress for you??? You ordered based on the swatch, so it's their mistake for sending you an ivory looking dress! Ugh, I really hope this gets resolved!!! I'm so sorry this is happening. It will all be fine - don't worry!!! Even if you have to get a new dress, remember that everything happens for a reason. Try out RK Bridal and see what they have that they can get for you quickly, but still keep trying to se if they can just redo your dress in the CORRECT color.

Charmet on Bell Blvd. in Bayside is going out of business. They have so many dresses on the racks and they are all marked down.

I think it is a silk satin but please don't tell me that it will not be stark white. That's what they keep saying but I pulled another silk satin sample in ivory off the rack and it match my 'white' dress. My dress is not white I don't care what they say. It even looks yellowish in pictures

Four months is actually not so bad, I believe it's in not only in the window of 'rush' dresses, it's in the window of getting some dresses, period.. My dress supposedly only takes sixteen weeks to come in at all--which is great, as I only ordred it a bit more than five months in advance (we planned this whole wedding in less than six months.)

Have they even made your dress yet? Did you talk to the manufacturer of your dress, or only the salon? Salons can be awful to deal with, from what I've heard, but manufacturers don't want to make a dress that the customer doesn't want. If you haven't already spoken to them, call their customer service ASAP. If they don't have a customer service, if they say 'speak to your salon,' call their general number. Someone will help you.

If they have started it, then start looking for a new dress, but don't go for half-price ones yet, try to find a gown that will come in quickly. Maggie Sottero takes a long time, but there are many others that don't. Good luck!

My dress has been made already. I have spoke to the salon and the manufacturer and I should have an answer next week. But like I said I want to start looking around now so That I have some sense of what my options are.

you're not coming off as rude at all

i just want to help you so you dont waste any time
nothing with the word silk comes in pure white
They may have a dress called 'white', but silk's whitest white is like a pale ivory...


im searching online for a dress similar to your avatar that will come in pure satin

DEF go to RK Bridal. Call up Phyllis and Lilette's and see how fast they can rush something to you. are you a sample size? some stores can sell you dresses right off the rack...HTH

OMG,is your dress an amsale? I believe the Bridal Salon of Manhassett carries that brand--they are sooo nice--ask for Sanya--she is the best.
Also,I think Bridal Reflections carries amsale--what place did this to you? You should tell so no one goes there,good luck and I am so sorry for you.....

My melissa sweet gown was promised and came in 4 mos w/o me rushing it from the POB store in roslyn. im sure if you rush it they can get one to you in time. good luck!
