Help pick hotels in Vegas please!

Help pick hotels in Vegas please!

FH and I are both having our bachelor/ette parties in Vegas on the same weekend in September. The guys will stay in one hotel, the ladies in another. Guys will do their own partying separate from the ladies, but we'll all meet up one night.

I'm hoping some of you have some insight into these hotels in Vegas - any info on the rooms or the pool? Any other moderately priced hotel suggestions?

*Need to pick two hotels*:

Mandalay Bay
Luxor
New York New York
MGM
The Signature (all suites, new, at MGM)
Planet Hollywood (formerly Aladdin)
Caesars
Mirage
TI (Treasure Island)

I've been to Vegas about 4 times and love it, but we're trying to stay at hotels that are reasonable in cost - we've never stayed at any of these, so I'm having trouble choosing. We've been inside all of these hotels, just never stayed there or used the pool...

Mandalay Bay is gorgeous, but it's way at the end of the strip so it's not that convenient. I was just there last week and we stayed at Caesars. I would definitely recommend them. FH and I are actually staying there for part of our honeymoon too.

I don't know much about any of the others. Sounds like a great time! Have fun!

I have to agree, the pool was amazing at Mandalay.

I forgot that I've stayed at the Luxor too. It was really nice, but it's right next to Mandalay Bay so it's all the way at the end of the strip.

There was a huge shopping center attached to it, but it was mostly out of my price range. Caesars is also right next to the Bellagio which has some crazy expensive shopping in it.

best pools and places to stay in my opinion are
Mandalay Bay or MGM
We are staying at MGM for my bachelorette. It has a lazy river and so many restaurants.

From your list:
Mandalay Bay is the nicest off your list. Look on their website: they have the beautiful pool that is like the ocean & the nice aquarium.

I also liked Luxor's unique design...I like to gamble there plus...doesn't thunder play there?

I stayed at MGM: It was OK. Decent room, Flamingo twice: decent room, very nice pool, the Venetian: beautiful room, and the Wynn (obviously the best...but with a topless pool...so hmmmm).

How about Paris? Such a cute theme & usually with reasonable prices.

Add the Monte Carlo to that list. It is not a theme hotel, but it is very nice, has a great pool area and is moderately priced. It is located across from the MGM and New York New York so you are centrally located. It is a little quieter than some of the others, but it is great for the price.
I wish I were going with you.
Have a blast.

You see, you guys bring up my point exactly: I don't want to stay all the way at the bottom of the strip! Me, personally, I'd prefer to stay in the middle (like near Bellagio - but it's too pricey). The Aladdin, aka Planet Hollywood, pool doesn't look very big...

I mean the pool is a big part of the trip, I figure, so I thought Mandalay Bay for the girls b/c the pool is so awesome, but I hate being that far away, lol.

Caesar's is the most expensive from the hotels on the list Mandalay Bay is the next most expensive.

Luxor, NY NY, Treasure Island are the three least expensive - all very close in price.

MGM, Planet Hollywood, Mirage, and The Signature are in between.

($75 difference per night between the least expensive hotel and the most expensive)

I stayed at the Luxor ... wasn't crazy about it.
Mandalay Bay is the way to go. Awesome pool and spa.
Treasure Island is full of little kids. Didn't care for that either.
Caesars would be my 2nd choice.

Re: Help pick hotels in Vegas please!

You ladies are the best!

Ok, I've stayed at Wynn and Paris - Wynn is out of our price range for this trip, and Paris we weren't so thrilled with.

I didn't put Monte Carlo on the list bc I never really heard anything about it...

MGM HAS A LAZY RIVER???? That sounds awesome.

Pricey shopping is not on our 'itinerary' for this trip, LOL... maybe some WINDOW shopping! LOL.

I just didn't want to stay all the way at the bottom of the strip, but Mandalay definitely has the best pool!

I wish we could stay at TheHOTEL at Mandalay Bay - FH and I stayed there and it was awesome.

Espo - The Signature is on the list - but since it's the same pool as MGM, we would have to choose one or the other and still a second hotel (guys and girls want to stay separately).

So, keep it coming ladies! MUCH appreciated!

$75 a night to upgrade to a better hotel is not bad...out of the ones you listed Check out MGM and the signature which is part of MGM. In feb fh and his friends went to vegas but as a x-mas gift i bought the trip for FH as a surprise...for 4 days in a suite, it cost me$500 to put in FH's half for the suite so its not that bad actually, depends onhow many ppl you have, they had a decent amount

dont mean for the guys and girls to stay here just for one group to pick either MGM or signature
