Woodbury CC is goregous and I love it there..
I was thinking of Atlantis Marine World until someone put something in my head. They said it smells when your guests walk in. And since that I couldn't get it out of my head. We were there for an event in December. It was pretty but I felt like they rushed you. Like one hour on the dot of cocktail hour, they moved you along.
I've had and been to many events at Smithtown Landing. They renovated a few years ago. Nice setting. Foods ok.
Thatched Cottage is ncie as well.
Don't have too much experience with the rest.

I've been to weddings and Bridgeview and Crest Hollow and they were both very nice affairs. No complaints here. I'm going to a wedding at Chateau Le Mar this weekend, but i've heard good things about that place as well.
Tell her to look at the Harbor Club in Huntington!

I am getting married at the Bayview House at Captian Bills. I love it there. As for the others (Woodbury CC, Chateau La Mer, and Girgios) They are really nice too!

At Atlantis, they actually bring your guests in through the back of the place, so the smell is not the first thing.
I like Atlantis, but they were really out of my price range. For Saturday night it was $140/pp, plus and 20% service charge, plus an 18% gratuity, plus tax. They said they made all the food on premisis, but the kitchen was so tiny I have no idea how that is possible.
You have to do Altantis at night, after they close to the public. You have the whole place to yourself, which is nice. If you choose to have the ceremony there, you can get married ANYWHERE you want. Your guests will be greeted with champagne and strawberries when they arrive.
I thought Atlantis was REALLY nice. They were just simply way out of my price range.
My sister is getting married at Crest Hollow and is totally in love with the place. I believe for a Saturday night in May she is paying about $150/pp, including all the service charges.
I was very impressed with a wedding I went to at Floral Terrace. The service was excellent

We had our wedding at Bridgeview and it was great. They were SUPER accommodating to the type of wedding we wanted and didn't toss us out the door because we weren't having 250+ people. The food, the staff, and the decor were all fantastic. A+ for me!

Out of all of those I looked at Crest Hollow, Thatched Cottage and Captain Bills. Crest Hollow was very nice, but to me it's a little outdated in some of the rooms. Thatched Cottage was my second choice if I didn't pick the Fox Hollow. It's really beautiful there. Captain Bills is ok. It has nice ambiance because it's on the water but, they weren't very helpful which turned me off.

My vote is for Floral Terrace! It is so different, the food is wonderful and they give so much of it....plus they give you a 10 night stay in the Aegean Palace in Crete, Greece just for booking with them.
They have been so helpful with my planning. I even went in there one day with my centerpiece idea and they helped me set it up in the room.
I can't say enough

Many brides here love CLM. They recently renovated their upstairs room. It overlooks the Great South Bay and it's a beautiful view. I went to a tasting there and it was good. I have heard good things about Crest Hollow, Woodbury CC abd FT. Thatched Cottage is really pretty but two people (who went to 3 separate affaris there) told me that the food isn't that good...I had a bad experience at Captain Bill's at a retirement party about 2 weeks ago AND out to dinner a couple of years ago and I wouldn't recommend them...sorry!!! (FM me if you want more info or any info on Land's End!!!

Re: Look at these reception halls-- any feedback?
I have been to bridgeview and meadow club. I liked both places. Meadow club seemed to have a lot of parties at once and long lines for the bathroom. But other than that it was a beautiful wedding. bridgeview I have been to 3 times but for parties, not a wedding. i love that place! The wedding ballroom looks amazing!

Re: Look at these reception halls-- any feedback?
Bridgeview Yacht Club Attended a wedding there this past April. Very nice, great food, the couple had a cocktail reception-DH LOVED the prime rib and went back 2-3times for more! Service was good too.
Crest Hollow CC I looked here for our wedding-my concern was too many things going on at one time. Also it seemed like it was confusing getting from the CH room to the reception room. That may be because I was shown 2-3 different rooms.
Woodbury CC no feedback
Floral Terrace Looked here too. I am BIG on first impressions, especially with customer service. When I called to inquire and set an appt to see the place I was asked the date and # of guests. When I said a Fri or Sun (we had not chosen a set date at the time) and about 100-125 guests, I was told that this may not be the place for me b/c they are 1 affair at a time with a 150 minimum
Harbor Links no feedback
Smithtown landing no feedback
Thatched Cottage I attended a holiday party here about 10 yrs ago. I also looked her for our wedding. Nice, great menu, price was too much for us.
Chateau La Mer This was one of our top 3 for our wedding. DH vetoed it b/c he was afraid of 1-rain, 2-humidity and 3- bugs considering we were planning a summer wedding. He felt it was going to be a waste to have the outdoor option and not be able to use it.
Atlantis Marine World no feedback
Girgios I have not been here, but have driven by-beautiful. It was not an option for us as it was too far east.
Captain Bills no feedback
Meadow Club no feedback

Can vouch for Landing and Thatched Cottage, bth are beautiful and give amazing service!
I know Landing can only have up to 200 and I think Thatch is close to that as well.
Have fun looking!

Re: Look at these reception halls-- any feedback?
We looked at both Thatched and Smithtown Landing. The price was right for both, but Thatched didn't have our date (it is also down the hill from my parent's house and I didn't' want to have it there in general but looked anyway). Smithtown was our 2nd choice after Danfords, and for us, the hotel at Danfords plus PJ Village won us over. But Smithtown looked great, they were really accommodating, and the food was very good when we went to a bridal show.
Seems like your sister might be looking for a sea-side venue, though? If so, I'd recommend Danfords, 1000x over.

Crest Hollow - It's very pretty and they have a really nice outdoor area for CH
woodbury country club - really nice too and their food is pretty good, esp the CH food
Hope this helps
