The Metropolitan - Glen Cove

Hello everyone!!!!!
This is my first post. I just got engaged 11/28/08 the FH and I have decided not to talk about any planning until April butttttttt I so want a winter wedding. hehehe

Is there anyone here who is getting married at The Metropolitan in December or January?

My friend got married there in August. The wedding was beautiful, the food was especially good. She had a small wedding though, the cocktail room cannot hold more than 90 people comfortably. HTH

I have no idea what prices are but one of my friends got married there a few years ago and it was beautiful. Instead of a sit down dinner, she did a 5 hour cocktail party. She didn't have any assigned seating, it was all the smaller cocktail tables.

It was an amazing wedding and the food was delicious!

I looked there but we were getting married in June and I wanted a place that had more outdoor space in case it's a nice day. I thought Metropolitan Club would be perfect for a winter wedding though because it was really nice inside and intimate and the food is supposed to be amazing. They are super reasonable too. They quoted me around $85 or $95 pp I think which I thought was great. Good luck and WELCOME to LIW!

Congrats and welcome!!! We're having our e-party at the Metropolitan. We're using The Club, which is separate and downstairs because it's only about 70 people. I was really impressed with their service and prices, and I've heard their food is great. I too think it would be perfect for a winter wedding, since it's mainly indoors. Good luck!!!

welcome and congrats!!

I looked there for a january wedding before we changed the date...We almost booked there but decided against it...We didnt like that there really wasnt anywhere to take pictures at the location...and when FH and i attempted to drive down to the park where they get you a permit to photograph we didnt like the drive fromt eh park to the hall. We also didnt like the valet parking that was offered, it was across the street in a dirt lot (what happens if the weather is REALLY bad and they cant plow the dirt lot?) We also realized that we could get more for our money at another location for a lesser price.
Metropolitan is a really nice place, just not want we decided on in the end.
