'The Best Day Ever!!! We drove out to Montauk Point, Long Island to the same place where Daniela & I shared our first little vacation together. We checked into the Royal Atlantic Resort on the beach front. Daniela had no clue what I had planned out. It was a beautiful spring morning on Saturday June 17th, 2006. Daniela and I had a nice quite breakfast & then drove to the Montauk Lighthouse. It was a perfect morning the sun was shining & there wasn't a cloud in the sky. The day was perfect!!! We walked up the hundred foot tower & when we finally reached the top we got so lucky because there was no one up there but a worker, Daniela & myself. Could the moment have been any more perfect!! Daniela & I have such a desire & passion for this Lighthouse. It is one of the oldest lighthouse's in the state of New York. We have climbed up to the top together over two years ago & could not wait to return. The view from the top is so beautiful there are no words to explain it. I handed Daniela the camera as we stepped outside the small balcony window. I told her to take pictures of some thing that she wanted to maybe remember from Montauk. She handed me back the camera saying that she hated taking pictures & that she wanted me to take them. Well, I just handed it right back to her & asked her if she was sure there was nothing worth taking a picture of. As I handed her the camera with the other hand I took the ring put my arms around her & opened up the box. I began to whispered in her ear telling how much she means to me, how much I love her, how I'm so grateful for all her support & love, how she's the best thing in my life & how I want nothing more than to share the rest of my life with her. She was so in shock that her first reaction was to laugh (thank God she didn't drop the camera!!). And, then the tears started to pour!!! As she turned around I got down on one knee took her hand & asked her to please be my wife & to make me the luckiest man in the world by marrying me. And, needless to say she said yes over and over!! The glow was shining all over her face. The worker that was up there took some pictures of us & then we headed back down the stairs. When we reached the bottom where the museum is everyone started to clap & congratulate us. The worker up top must have radioed everyone downstairs. The look on Daniela's face was priceless. We walked around the lighthouse & enjoyed our time alone together. We took a few pictures & headed back to the hotel. The whole way back to the hotel Daniela had a huge smile from ear to ear. I knew this was the best day of her life!! We called all our family & friends once we got back to our room & every one was so happy for us. We enjoyed the rest of our day on the beach. We had lunch at the Montauk Harbor, walked around had some ice cream, did some shopping & then headed back to the beach. We had a nice romantic dinner at an Italian restaurant called Aqua in Montauk. After dinner we sat on our balcony looking at the stars in the sky. It was a perfect day from morning to night!! Daniela swears that she had no idea I was planning to propose that day. Everything worked out better than I had planned...and it was truly a day we will remember forever!! -Constantine
They look forward to a June 10, 2007 celebration at the Jericho Terrace.
