HE WAS WORTH THE WAIT!!!
I had an amazing weekend. My boyfriend and I had our formal introduction this Saturday. Kunmi and I were both hidden in separate rooms as his family (15 people consisting of aunts, uncles, parents, and cousins) danced into my home singing. Both of our families formally greeted each other.
Then, Kunmi's family consisting of 15 of his closest relatives and friends asked my parents for my hand in marriage. My family from New York to Nigeria was also here. The families greeted, dance and sung for hours. It was beautiful. His family presented my family w/ so many gifts. He presented me w/ various outfits later that evening. It was amazing!!!
Kunmi stood up at the end of the festivities to make a speech about what we have been through and why he loved and chose me. He confessed his love for me in front of all and pointed to a limo outside and 3 of his friends came and presented me, my mom,
and his mom with bouquet of flowers. I received 24 roses and the moms received a mixed bouquet. Then, Kunmi got down on one knee and HE PROPOSED!!!
All my friends and sisters were crying.
After the formal introduction...he took me and my friends out in the limo to celebrate.
It was the most amazing feeling ever !!!

The happy couple engaged on September 27, 2008 looks forward to an August 7, 2009 celebration.
