Long Island Engagement Announcements

It's our pleasure to announce the engagement of Lauren Farber and patrick McDonald and to extend our congratulations to their respective families: Sharon and James Kincaid and Lyn and John McDonald. The two, both Teachers from Moriches were engaed on February 28, 2007 at Phillips Avenue Story Night. 'It literally was a fairy tale! At Phillips Avenue Story Night Patrick and some friends were performing the story 'The Sword in the Stone.' At the end of the story King Arthur, who was a student, had to pick a queen out of the audience. He just so happend to pick Lauren. It was decided that Lauren was much too old for King Arthur. We needed to find a suitable king for her. Patrick said he would do it. Right there, on stage, in front of students, parents, friends and Superintendents, Patrick got down on one knee and asked Lauren to marry him! Of course, she said 'Yes!'' They look forward to an October 2008 celebration. We wish them all the best.
