Long Island Engagement Announcements

Billy and I met in college and have been together for just over 5 years. We recently moved in together in Charleston, SC and were about to go home for the holidays. We wanted to celebrate Christmas on our own, so we exchanged our gifts on the 20th. He cooked a romantic dinner by candlelight and then we opened presents. Afterwards, I noticed that there was one more gift under the tree, but it was a shirt box, so I didn't think anything of it. He gave it to me, and inside was a poem that said to look at the tree and I saw an ornament saying 'will you marry me' with the ring hanging off of it. I turned around and he was on his knee and I just started sobbing! He was like, are you going to say yes?! haha, it was so perfect! Congratulations, best wishes and welcoe abroard to Kimmie McCarrick and Billy Wheeler. The two, engaed December 20, 2007 look forward to a May 2009 wedding and celebration. We wish them all the best.
