Long Island Engagement Announcements

Were engaged! Chris proposed at Pugliese's Vineyard on May 15, 2010. Chris and I have been discussing marriage for quite some time. I even went and picked out my ring. He had asked my dad one Saturday to breakfast to ask for his blessing. Little did I know the following weekend Chris was planning to propose to me out in the vineyards. He had asked a good college friend to post an event up on facebook last minute one Friday night. He purposely missed his train back to the Long Island so that while I was waiting for him to arrive with our dinner I would go on and check what's new. Little did I know, this was all his little plan of getting me to think I was arranging a nice Saturday out east. When he finally arrived to my house I shouted out my bedroom window that we were going out east tomorrow afternoon to meet up with some good college friends of his. He acted a little surprised and said okay sure! The next morning he picked me up around 10am. Before heading out we stopped at the local deli to grab a bite to eat. We pulled up to Pugliese around 12:15. He went inside to use the restrooms while I started to unpack our lunch. In the meantime, I was waiting for everyone to arrive. Chris had told me they would be here shortly. He came back with a bottle of Pingot Grigio and two wine glasses. He began pouring me a glass. He then placed the bottle right in front of me. On the bottle in gold paint pen it read Joanna Will You Marry Me? As I read the bottle he got down on his knee and pull out the ring box. He placed it next to me on the picnic bench. I couldn't believe it, I was in shock. I believe my first words went something like this... so are your friends still joining us? He was waiting for me to say.. yes. I eventually said YEs! and leaned over to kiss him. Mean time, Chris had asked the lady bartender if she could capture the moment with his camera. Right after I said yes people sitting behind us and in front of us begin clapping and cheering. It truly was picture perfect. I couldn't have asked for anything more. We are happy to welcome to our online family Joanna Saggio and Christopher Lynch. The happy couple, engaged on May 15, 2010 looks forward to an August 7, 2011 celebration of love.
