Every year in Port Jefferson I stand with pride watching my firefighter boyfriend march in the annual Forth of July parade. This year as I was watching and taking pictures suddenly the Terryville Fire Department stopped where I was standing and the Chief of the Department pulled me out of the crowd. I had no idea what was going on even though the whole town knew for months. When my boyfriend Lt. Craig Brozio broke rank and walked toward me and got down on one knee and proposed to me. I was surprised that I was crying and shaking that I couldn't even believe this was happening. Of course I said yes and gave him a big hugs and kisses. Then then finished the parade together on the antique fire truck for the rest of the route while parade watchers cheered and snapped photos. I couldn't have pictured a better way thatn what he did. He had to get special permission for this too. And now I'm going to spend the rest of my life with my best friend and soul mate. See dreams really do come true.... Congratulations, welcome and best wishes to Kara and Craig. The happy couple, engaged on July 5, 2010 looks forward to a September 4, 2011 celebration of love. We wish them much continued love, health, and happiness.
