Welcome and congratulations to Stephanie Dewey and Christopher Gerardi, and an extended congratulations to their respective families; Ruth and Thomas Dewey; Karen and Thomas Gerardi. The happy couple was engaged at Treasure Island, FL on October 2, 2011.
'We left for the beach that weekend on friday with his brother & sister in law. We've been there before with them & new it was the perfect place to celebrate 4 yrs of dating. That whole weekend Chris had a surprise up his sleeve that no one knew about. The only two people to know was my father & our dog Tiki. During the course of the weekend we were all getting on him about when, where & how he was going to propose. It had been 4 years after all! So that Sunday morning we wanted to take a walk on the beach while the sun was rising. As we were walking down to the pier that overlooks the Gulf. I couldn't help but ask questions like where would you want to go on your honeymooon? Who would be what in the wedding? Church or no church? the whole time not knowing what was about to happen. We made it to the pier and while Chris was starring out into the Gulf, I was in my own little world of just snapping pictures and enjoying the beach. He asked me to come stand in front of him so as I stood in front of him, I could feel him shaking a little but figure it was from the cool ocean breeze. He reached his arms around me & said 'well with all this wedding talk, I have to do something first, will you marry me'. I was in shock, I couldn't help but say 'Ohhh my God are you serious, for real, really!' He got down on one knee and said will you marry me & I said yes of course!!!'
