Welcome and congratulations to Jaclyn and Peter, and an extended congratulations to their respective families; Kathy and Sam; and Karen and Bob. Jaclyn and Peter were engaged on February 7, 2012 at Excellence Playa Mujeres, Cancun.
'I had NO idea the proposal was coming. I would even go as far as betting my life that we would not get engaged on this trip. Pete had planned every single detail (white lies) from picking up the ring, transportation of the ring to Mexico, picking the perfect time etc. Day 3 of our trip my FH insisted we should have a private dinner on the beach as this was our first vacation ever. We had a beautiful candle lit dinner which included a lot of photo taking. Just before dinner, Pete suggested we take a picture standing up & let our waiter take it. We stood up, stood together & then he went down to his knee. I kept asking what he was doing (still not realizing what was happening) while he began saying how much he loves me. It took at least a minute for me to figure out what was going on (I saw the ring box). My reply was 'yes! Of course!' after he patiently asked me over & over while I kept saying 'Is this really happening?!''
The happy couple is looking forward to their September 27, 2013 celebration of love at Fox Hollow-Somerley.
