3. One was an older woman that got sick at the church and couldn't make it to the RH. ANother was a couple that DH works with that said they had a pipe break in their home. All gave a gift and we didn't pay for them anyway because we purposely left it a little short.

7 total - 3 guests' flights were cancelled due to a hurricane, and 4 people were sick.

One couple. I was told later that one of them was very sick. By his Mommy. We never heard a peep - no card, or anything.
Thankfully, our BM had taken 2 adult no-shows into account beforehand so we didn't have to pay.

We had 4 people but 1 sent a generous gift so it didn't bother me as much as the other 3 who didn't even call. Some people are so rude!!!!

2- we also had some changes last min but were informed (emergency surgery, death in family)

7 3 called the day before, 3 came to the coctail hour but had to leave right after (well, they didn't have to, it was pretty lame), one was just a total no show.

7!!! but luckily, our hall was so nice....2 days before i had to tell them people were dropping out and they were fine.... so didn't have to pay for them! WHEW!!!
people can be so rude though... a friend from college E_MAILED me 2 days before and said 3 of the crowd from college weren't coming!! EEWW! what if i didn't check my e-mail...

4... 1 person had the flu but his wife still came. The other 3 we never new why but 1 couple did mail us a gift.

oh how rude! really only maybe 2 or 3 - because they were old and sick and we knew it was iffy. I did have a friend whose grandpa died and couldn't come, but of course I understood.
