Never again are we using this service again!!! My DH ordered flowers from them on Valentine's day and they never came. He also used them two years ago to have roses sent to my house before our wedding and they never showed up either!

Re: 1-800-Flowers
I had used them to send balloons to someone in Florida. I did not know they were going to be away so they tied the balloons to a tree and left them there!!! A neighbor of theirs took them in but she had told me they didn't even use that much ribbon to put on the balloons. I wrote them a letter and they gave me a credit. Big Deal!

Re: 1-800-Flowers
This is the second year in a row that we had a MAJOR fight with them. My DH ordered flowers last week for delivery last FRIDAY, thinking at least I would definitely get them by Valentine's Day. Well, by 4pm on Valentines Day, they still had not arrived. We called and called but they weren't answering their phones because they were busy, so it kept hanging up on you. Then when we finally got someone, they just said 'sorry, they will come tomorrow.' When they came, they were not the right color and not very vibrant.
We got all that aggravation for the bargain price of $100!
I HATE HATE HATE them. They are a horrible service that does not care at all about its customers.

Make sure u let them know I ordered flowers for my mom awhile ago from them and they were really crappy looking so I called to let me know that I didn't like them well they were going to send new ones which never came so we ended up refunding my money and my mom got to keep the flowers!!

Oooooh I would be so mad!!! It's a little too late for this, but try Hallmark flowers next time - I've used them a bunch of times and they've been great. They ship via FedEx and send you an e-mail when the flowers have been delivered. They're pretty reasonable too and you also get Gold Crown points (if you have a Gold Crown number).

Re: 1-800-Flowers
That is so funny that you are posting this. I sent flowers to a funeral home and the wrong arrangement was sent, which was less expensive that the one I ordered. I called and they looked into it and offered me 20% off my next order!!! After speaking with them for some time, they ended up reimbursing me 50% of the cost.

Re: 1-800-Flowers
Yes, yes, yes! I hate them too. DH used them to send me flowers at work a few years ago and I sent them back 4 times for one bouquet and 3 times for another. They kept dying after day 2. I was SO annoyed. I kept calling, they kept redelivering and the flowers kept dying. One day a bouquet had broken flowers in it and brown petals.
I remember someone in my office asked my boss if DH and I were having a big fight because I kept getting roses every week
DH switched to Hallmark and they have been beautiful and recently he used Proflowers and I like them too.
NO 1-800-Flowers! NO!!!

Re: 1-800-Flowers
I hate them too, MIL was in hospital and I sent flowers, never reached her..she was pissed that i was so inconsiderate , I called and fought with them, to her home they sent a small basket of dying little purple things.
I also had a problem with the popcorn factory, they lost my order one year. I haven't had any problems with ftd.com

Re: 1-800-Flowers
My boss got flowers (her husband sent them to her for V-day) from there, and they too were dead and the wrong color (supposed to be red, came yellow).
Last year my husband (at the time FH) sent me flowers from there too and came dead. They sent a new batch, but they still weren't great.

Re: 1-800-Flowers
They $uck!! I ordered a few arrangements after my sister had an emergency C-Section. The baby was still in the hospital and she was down. We couldn't make it to Texas for awhile so we sent a few things via 1-800. They never got there and then they gave us a hard time about it!! When they did show up, the flowers were dead. It was a horrible experience. Never again...

i don't like them either. I have gotten roses from them and they were dead. I kept calling & telling them how bad they were and they sent me a new arrangement- which were also dead!
DH got my tulips from there for V-Day.. they are OK- not the best but passable.
I like proflowers.com

I'm not a fan either. I think they are overpriced.
I always use ProFlowers.com. They have reasonable prices, always running specials and their flowers last FOREVER!

Re: 1-800-Flowers
I usually try to sniff out a local florist when sending. I've had way too many experiences using 1800 Flowers and others.

Re: 1-800-Flowers
The same thing happened to me on Valentines. FH ordered flowers, I never received them. He went back to 1800flowers and got a refund.
He told me today that he ordered flowers for me last night for my bday today (from another company), and I never received those either. Guess its' time for another refund.
We need those mom and pop shops again.

Re: 1-800-Flowers
It sounds like I am the only one who had a good experience with them. DH had my roses sent from 1-800 Flowers and they are absolutely beautiful. They are still closed and I know they are going to last for awhile. 1-800 Flowers contacts the closest florist to you and that florist is the one sending out the roses......I am pretty sure.
