25 Random things...

So every now & then we used to post surveys over here on the newlywed board...i figured since there are a bunch of newbies & some of us 'oldies'(ahem: ME lol) it would be fun and let us get to know each other a little more...I stole this from facebook...lol..if u're bored - why not

List 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you.

1. I was named after a tv character that Nicolette Sheridan played back in the day..on an old soap called 'Paper Dolls' :)

2. I love Jesus so much that it sometimes even makes me an emotional mess..& i want everyone to feel that love. I have this crazy idea of playing shows at random bars/clubs/lounges/etc. and throwing worship music in there.. only noone will really know it's worship..and everyone will wonder 'just who IS this guy she's talking about'?? and i'll get to tell them :)

3. I love my family more than they could ever know(and my true friends count in that equation)..work & location is a major factor right now, but that doesn't mean that I don't think about them & wish I was spending time with them every single day.

4. I am HORRIBLE at making phonecalls. I'm workin' on it.

5. I love crime solving/special agent shows...once upon a time(& i still think about it from time to time ;) ) i wanted to be a crime scene investigator, or on a SWAT team...then I discovered the entertainment business and realized I could be all of that without getting a bullet in my head or my butt kicked :) ..still waiting for that action movie where i can be on the special forces!lol.

6. I love the smell of grass...and the smell of gasoline at the gas station(yes..for real lol)..

7. Living in the city has given me a whole new appreciation for fall & winter. There is nothing like bundeling up, grabbing a cup of coffee & just enjoying the atmosphere of this great place :)

8. I have a sick sense of intuition(most women do) that I inherited from my mother..sometimes it really freaks me out..and no - i'm not a wierdo - i swear :)

9. I have amazing childhood memories of just playing in my neighborhood with a million kids and spending time with my cousins...it makes me sad that kids these days want to grow up so fast & that their only concern is ipods, cellphones, and being 'mature'

10. I would love to live in Europe just for a year...I think it would be amazing..so would the west coast..but then I would feel like I've missed so much in my loved one's lives..so who knows..maybe just a long really extended vacation is best :)

11. I used to never cry at movies, weddings, music, plays, etc....then I got married and it turned me into a complete sap. I have no idea what happened lol.

12. After years(YEARS) of battle, I've finally learned to love myself just the way I am..I am comfortable & confident in my own skin - and my husband thinks it's the sexiest thing in the world :) Infact the very thing I hated most growing up just so happens to be his favorite part of me... who knew ;)

13. I love roadtrips & just driving in general. I can be all by myself, but once that music goes on it's an AWESOME thing.

14. I can actually say I love my job & every one of my co-workers..including my boss..

15. I love going to tiny little venues and hearing new musicians..it's probably one of my favorite things to do.

16. A lot of people have never REALLY seen me dance...teach me a hiphop routine & u'd be suprised how this little white girl can break it down ;) give me a pair of tap shoes & i promise u'll be suprised & actually enjoy it :) ..and I also love sports..and am convinced that if I actually played them I really would be good..

17. I can sing on a stage in front of ten million people and be completely comfortable...however put me in a living room with someone I know and I can't do it..I'm probably the most nervous you'll EVER see me.

18. I consider my family to be my best friends and my best friends to be my family no matter how much time goes by. I admire my mother & grandmother more than they will ever know..they both deserve nothing less than unconditional love & happiness.

19. I am so crazy about my husband it's not even funny..it's almost ridiculous how much my heart feels for him and how happy he makes me :) We went through a lot before we got married that most people don't know about - but we both faught for what we now have. He is my best friend..and I truly KNOW that God made him just for me.

20. I love food and coffee..probably more than anyone else u know!

21. I am glad that I have a HUGE extended family..and that we've all kept our relationship through the years..it's a rare and wondeful thing :)

22. I love to sleep and enjoy the rain(especially in the summer).

23. I love animals..and learning about religions..okay that was like - two things - but oh well.lol.

24. I have an obsession with art...whether it be a painting, architecture, music, a movie, tattoos, fashion..I am intrigued by all of it. I think 'The Suncreen Song' is a profound piece of art.

25. Church is one of my favorite things of the week & i mean that with all sincerity. For anyone who has not had an amazing experience with it, I encourage you...come to my church and you'll understand why :)

me too! I'm up to 16

1. I'm a total goofball and I will do ANYTHING to get my friends to laugh.

2. My family has grown really small over the years and I count my blessings everyday that we remain so close and that I get to spend my time with them

3. I knew on our first date that I was going to marry Joey. He was like no other man I have ever met and my family gave me the 'ok, sure you'll marry him' speech. As soon as they saw us together they knew we would spend our lives together.

4. I like to make up random words about what I'm doing to whatever song is on the radio. If joey and I are going to the mall and Womanizer comes on we'll make the lyrics about going to the mall and what we are going to buy. I've always done it, and then the first time he did it I knew we were meant to be, lol

5. I love to dance and I don't care what anyone thinks. I dance to have fun. I also sweat like a hog and I usually have pit stains, but i don't care.

6. I have an obsessions with pregnant woman. I think they are the most beautiful things and I always want to touch their belly

7. I love babies and always want to hold them

8. I have quite a few OCD's and I've learned to embrace them since they obviously aren't ever going anywhere.

9. I'm a kick @ss tic-tac-toe player

10. I'm terrible at spelling

11. I never ever seem to buy the right shoe size

12. I have a slight obsession with my weight and the scale.

13. In the last 2-3 years I've had a love/hate relationship with meat and unless I PERSONALLY know the person that prepared it, or trust the restaurant I'm at, I won't eat it. Yes, I'm the girl that gets a big mac minus the meat.

14. I love snow boarding but it's so hard. I'm determined to be good at it, though.

15. My mother is my long lost twin. It's scary how much we look alike and how many times we are thinking the same thing or we both say the same thing at the same time.

16. Joey and I have a secret language and I love that I can 'say' something to him without saying anything at all.

17. I hate cats but got one because Joey really wanted one and now little Ollie is like a real child and I can't imagine life without him

18. If I could get pregnant tomorrow, I would. I have the worse baby fever EVER!

19. I look forward to Wednesdays. Wings beer and my bestest friends. What more could a girl ask for?

20. I cry every Sunday when Joey leaves to travel for the week. I never thought I could ever have this much love for one person, but when he goes, it's like a piece of me is missing. Friday nights are the best. When he comes home it's like it was on our first date. The butterflies and all.

21. I might be in the minority but I LOOOOOOOOVE to work out. It lets me relieve so much stress and I always feel incredible afterwards

22. I am, and always will be, a Britney fan.

23. I love the beach. Actually, i prefer to go to the beach by myself at 9 am, get a spot close to the water and just alternate listening to the waves and my ipod.

24. I have the cheesiest taste in music but I'm not ashamed.

25. I've learned that you can't make everyone happy. You can just do what you can to make yourself happy and hope that those who love you will love you no matter what.

Ok, here I go;

1. I am a PineSol and Bleach user. I like to spray my shower down with a bleach/water mix every couple days. And I will not use a no name product on either one. Only clorox or bleach.

2. I had my apendix out on Christmas Eve '05. Thought I was dying, and then found out that I was so ill from it, that I almost did.

3. I was an only child till I was 18. I like doing things on my own, and driving and exploring new areas by myself. I am super independant.

4. I was a volunteer for planned parenthood events when I was in high school. I knew a lot of sex education and such, but didn't lose my virginity till I was 22.

5. I have always had a lot of responsibilties in my house, since I was in grade school. I did much more than any kid my age should have to have done.

6. I never met my biological father or my half brother. I don't know if I have more siblings other than him, and my kid sisters who were in my wedding.

7. I couldn't hear when I was a toddler out of both ears. My ear canals weren't developed. Recently I have noticed I am having hearing issues again. And it is scaring me.

8. I have 3 girlfriends that make me who I am. They are so giving and genuine that it makes me emotional to think of them.

9. I can be very cautious with money one day, and then the next spend spend spend! However I keep all my change and put it in a change jar, as a just incase money!

10. I love starbucks. No frappacunios here.. Espresso!! LOVE IT. and addicted to it. I have learned that if I don't have it with in 3 - 4 hours of waking up, I have an awful headache for the rest of the day.

11. I used to be a lot wilder then I am not before I dated FH. I went out all the time and partied every night.

12. I have been pulled over on sunrise highway by the HARBOR patrol for speeding.. LOL

13. I was always religious and have been a sunday school teacher, as well as a youth group council member.

14. I believe in the book 'The Secret' and have read it once every season for the last year. I am starting a new vision board soon.. and my inner geek is very excited.

15. I didn't do exceptionaly well in school, but it was because I didn't try and I realize that now and it disappoints me.

16. I tend to have really good luck, and believe that it is because of the secret.

17. I also believe that I can sometimes sense things that are going to happen. I get deja vu a lot.. often and have heard that it is a sort of premonition..

18. My grandparents mean the world to me. I have a lot of respect for them, and they have never let me down. They have always been a big part of my life, and I am thankful for that.

19. When I was in my late teens and turned 20 I had a lot of credit card debt, and made a lot of bad choices. So I have 2 credit cards now, with very small limits. I have learned to becareful with my money.

20. I am looking forward to getting a new car, even though my current one is 4 years old.

21. I am very outgoing and easy to be around. I like to laugh and have fun. I tend to be a good judge of others people's character.

22. I love dogs, not so much cats. I don't scare easily when it comes to big dogs. I am not a fan of snakes, but have held many.

23. My highest adult weight was 419 lbs. It took a lot of work to get it off. I now understand what my food and emotional relationship are and I am constantly battling it. I am still trying to get more off now.

24. I don't drink soda. I love unsweeten ice tea or crystal light. It is rare if DH and I have soda in the house.

25. I want to travel. I want to drive cross country, see other countries and learn other languages. I love the idea of seeing the world and taking tons of pictures to document it.

Denise, I feel like you could probably answer this in 2 minutes flat.

Crap I am reallu busy I will answer this later.

I read everyone's response and they are great!

1. I have a laptop and while I like the portability of it, I hate that some of the keys are in different places than they are on a regular keyboard - I am constantly hitting buttons by accident and poof! a whole email will be gone because the page changed to a different one, 5 pages back.

2. I used to be super organized but I feel that since meeting DH, I am less so, and it bothers me - this is something I have to work on. Same thing goes for cleaning - used to do it much more often.

3. I have a pit bull and I love her, but I see in her some of the faults people talk about them. While I don't believe in breed-specific legislation (ie banning a person from owning a specific type of dog just because it's a pit, dobie, etc), I do believe that if you do not train these dogs early on, they can get fiesty or sometimes nasty.

4. I have decided that I do not like my new haircut at all. It's uneven I think, too.

5. I drink tea, not coffee. If I don't have half and half for it, I won't have any. (Unless there is vanilla ice cream in the house, I'll use some of that if I need to.) I used to drink it with 1% milk but DH's family only ever had h&h at their house, and now I am addicted.

6. I have Sirius and often don't know the most popular songs on the radio because I don't listen to the hits station - I listen to country and singer/songwriter stuff mostly, or the classic rock stations - so I rarely know the big r&b hits, etc. I find that when I hear them in a store or something, I do like them! My sister makes fun of me because I'll hear a song and say, oooh I like this, is it new? And she'll say, um, it's been out for like a year. :)

7. I loooove makeover shows.

8. I can't figure out what kind of eyeshadow looks best on me or how to apply it.

9. I used to be really afraid of getting up in front of people for presentations, etc - I fainted in 2nd grade once giving a report on dinosaurs! - but in middle school I formed a drama group and got over it real fast! I was in musicals all throughout school and go to karaoke all the time now.

10. We are most likely moving to NH later this year and while I am excited about it because Matt and I have talked about it for years, I am also very scared. I am afraid we won't meet new friends and I am very afraid of how much I will miss my sister and mom, and my niece.

11. I like to take really hot showers. DH thinks I burn myself - the water for his showers is COLD in comparison.

12. DH's parents live in FL now - they moved a little over a year ago - and I really miss them.

13. I have an ipod but I barely use it. It only has 490 songs on it (I think it holds 2000). I like it but I have nowhere to use it except the gym and I don't go there often :(

14. I love to take pictures. I wish I could have a darkroom and develop film myself! I did it in college and really enjoyed the private time, and the creative experience.

15. I used to be a youth group leader, and I also taught religion classes ... and now I don't ever go to church. I still believe and pray but never liked 'church.' Taryn, I may need to hear about your church!

16. I don't like my handwriting.

17. I never use condiments. Mayo, mustard, sour cream, dressing of any kind - ugh.

18. I don't eat veal because of the way the animals are treated from the moment of their birth until they are killed. I used to eat it and then my cousin sent me a PETA brochure when I was 16 or something, and I never ate it again.

19. I get the greatest joy out of singing. IN the shower, in the car, on a stage - I love it. I especially love singing a song I really know, and particularly a HAPPY one - I just blast it and sing along. Keith Urban's 'Better Life' is my FAVE to sing to while I drive. It has special meaning to me because I feel that I can relate very well to what he's singing about but I also just love to sing it at the top of my lungs. When I am singing, I am the happiest person in the world.

20. Growing up, I was teased by one girl so much that I often wished for bad things to happen to her. It was over DUMB things too, like having glasses. It started in the 4th grade and didn't end until 9th. She was smaller than me and wasn't that great herself, but I never stuck up for myself because she was so good at making you feel like a piece of poop.

21. I love commercials! I cry over the sappy ones all the time and Matt thinks it's cheesy. When we lived in Massapequa, whenever I cried over something on TV he'd say 'Massapequa Water Works, Jenny speaking' LOL

22. Matt and my grandfather are the only people who call me Jenny.

23. I used to sell PartyLite candles.

24. I love to read.

25. My sister is my best friend. She is the person I call when I have good news and she is also the person I go to when I have to vent. We didn't get along until I went away to college, basically - I don't know if it was more than normal siblings fight - but when I got home, we got close very quickly. She is one of the only people I trust unconditionally.
