'2x' laundry detergent

am i the only one who has noticed there's no more normal detergent on the market? everything comes in tiny containers that say '2x the cleaning power'? so now i'm forced to buy crap thats twice as strong, twice as many chemicals! grrrrrrr pisses me off.

I think you're supposed to use 1/2 as much bec it's concentrated?
Don't know if this helps but we use All-Free (no dyes or perfumes).

Also check out CostCo, we bought their organic 'green' detergent. It smells like lavender but the scent is natural. :) Are you like me with a pesticide phobia?? I keep reading these articles about how many we ingest in a day's time and it's scary

Check out Dreft, it's supposed to be very gentle .. not sure about the chemicals ...

I use arm & hammer complete powder in the buckets. i find it cleans just as good as liquids. I use half to 3/4 of a scoop... never had any issues. i buy it at bj's and it's like $18 for 200 loads - lasts me forever and I do a LOT of laundry ... DH works on cars and has this thing, has to wear 2-3 shirts a day (on top of each other - even if we are just going out at night, he wears two shirts). i have double the laundry I should have - and if he wore suits to work, I'd have sooooo much less!!!

I have to use HE detergent, and you use very little of it and a bottle lasts a long time

hmmmmm very interesting. My folks belong to costco i wonder if they have it too. sounds good. i hear you about the laundry, dh works in construction so there's tons of dirty (really dirty) clothes. triple in winter because of the cold.

One good thing about the extra concentrate is less plastic used to make the bottle and less plastic thrown into landfills.
