Recently weve seen a lot of posts about loving or hating our jobs or if its fulfilling or just a job...

I was wondering if do love your jop, what is it that you love?

If you dont, what job/career would you rather be doing?

And for everyone... (from Inside The Actors Studio) if you had to pick one other profession besides yours what would it be?

I love my job purely for the fact that I have loved the Rangers since I was a kid and now I work for Madison Square Garden... My dad always said watching the Rangers would never get me anywhere...

If i had to pick any profession I would be an Oceanographer... growing up on th beach and in the Ocean every summer I always had the idea that it would be cool to be an Oceanographer and i get a little upset every once in a while that I never really put any effort into doing that... oh well!

Do i love my job??

NO!! i hate it actually! the only thing i do love about it is that they let me work flex hours from 6:30-3 instead of 8-4:30! most people would think im crazy for going in that early, but its so nice being here in the morning when nobody else is!!! ahhh! and i feel like i have another full day when i get out of work since its so early! besides that tho, it sucks!!

what would i rather be doing???

honestly my dream job would be a stay at home mom! people say i would maybe get bored, but i would find a hoby!

If i had to pick another profession??

i would be a teacher! for like kindergarden kids! i love little kids and would love that so much!!!!! (closest thing to being a stay at home mom except with a paycheck)

i have been at my new job for a month and a half now and I really like it. I have been super busy but I really enjoy what I am doing much more than at my old job. I actually feel like what I am doing is meaningful.

That being said...Ideally what I would love to do is own my own business. I don't know exactly what kind of business yet...when I figure that out maybe I can actually make it happen.

What I like about my job is that I work for a hugely powerful Broadway theatre company and get lots of perks...a lot of comp tickets, get to go to the Tony Awards, press events, etc. But I'm about ready to end my scene here. While I love Broadway, I'm really looking into law enforcement. I want to get into that, and am currently looking at my options.

Obviously, my dream job would be managing the Pearl Jam fan club. That ain't happening.

i dont love my job cause im so tired of sitting in my cubicle for 8 hours a day. i need more excitement in my life lol.

if i could have another job, it was be a travel journalist. i love traveling and writing and combining the two would be my ideal job.

I LIKE my job solely b/c my bosses and co workers are great ppl and its a nice atmosphere in be in for 8 hrs everyday. As far as the work goes....def not what I want or what I ever thought I would be doing w/myself.


If i could put myself in another profession, I would do something creative like making jewelry .

Most of you know that I tolerate my job.......and on some days, I HATE it.

I would MUCH rather be an event planner, and I'm currently working on making that happen

i like my job, good company, hours are not bad, steady, money is decent, close to home and is actually interesting most of the time.. BUT i am an accountant so obviously its not that exciting!!!!

I would love to cook all day long! Cooking is my passion and I wish I had more time to do it.

I don't love my job. Honestly, I wish I could do event coordinating. I love throwing a party and wedding planning (while stressful) was like a seventh heaven for me. Our special events person at work remarked that I would be good for it! Maybe one day!
ETA: And I don't just mean weddings, though that would be ideal!

1. i hate my job. it sucks. that's all i can say about it

2. i'd rather be teaching. i'm in grad school for it right now and i'll be quitting and leaving here in january to student teach

3. if i could do anything else i'd either be a marine biologist or a zoologist. i really wish i had chosen to do one of these

I'm a financial advisor. I love my job, the ppl I work with, and my clients. It can be stressful at times, and I put in ALOT of hours, but it is also very rewarding.

If I could do any other profession, I would have been a photographer or a chef. Both huge hobbies of mine.

Job I'm most looking forward too though is MOM can't wait for that day!

I love my job. I love being a teacher. I love the kids. I hate the politics of the job. I just want to teach without all the nonsense and the paperwork and the politics.

But 90% of the time I love what I do.

I actually do love my job. The thing I love most about it though is and I hate to admit it I'm actually one of the few people you will ever hear admit I'm OVERPAID!!! I mean I have tons of experience, run a dept, work hard and am very good at my job, but I know I wouldn't make this $$$ anywhere else. SHHHHHHHHH - don't tell the partners!


If I had my dream job - it would be something in publishing. I love reading and books. Unfortunately, publishing pays squat.

i have to say i do love my job, there are stressful and busy times sure but but overall its a great job, nice place to work and i have great coworkers. plus i work a normal 8 hour day and before this, the job i had i was working 12 hour days and always traveling so i am thankful for getting this job.

I don't like my job either. I am a teacher in a HS. I haven't liked it all that much since like my first year. I just got tenure so maybe it will be better. But I also am not that crazy about the people I work with or the district. But it's my 4th district so I think it might be me more than anything.

Anyway, I have a few dream jobs :-P

I would love to travel, take pictures, and write. But I think you need more money to invest then you would make .

I also love to sing and act, and would love to work with animals, be a philanthropist (with the no money I have ) and just help people, I;ve thought about psychology too.

I need help!

mmmm yes, i do love my job. i love being a lawyer, i love going to court, i love arguing, i love researching and writing briefs. don't love the hours so much. it's pretty effing stressful sometimes. but i wouldn't trade being a lawyer for anything... except....

being a stay at home mom.
if I had to pick another profession... no idea. but it would have to be something which would allow me to write. and not involve math. or people.

ETA - DUH... if i had to change professions i'd be a professional cat hoarder/keeper/walker/brusher.

I love my job, I'm a graphic designer.
Actually a freelancer, about 3 ears ago I hated my job and I quit and decided just to freelance and it has been amazing ever since! I have a ton of awesome clients plus I work onsite 3-4 day a week, I have a pretty sweet gig going and I could not be happier.

I hate my job I work as a dietary clerk at beth israel in the city..the hours sucks and I hate sitting behind the desk...some ppl here are soo rude..I never wanted this job just needed one when I lost my last job a few mths before wedding.

Only reason I'm still here is bc of sick time vacation holiday and benefits things I never had before..

My dream jobs would be what I went to school for a pastry chef or working in food servie management..I would love to try out event planning after I get into more of my field again...

I love my job. I love it b/c it keeps me fit and the kids love me. It also allows me to listen to music all day.
