those are generous gifts you are planning to give so I'd say 300 for the wedding...or give less expensive gifts leading up to the wedding and then give 500+?

I guess it depends on how close of a family member it is

I think it would depend. If it were a first cousin I'd probably give in the 300's...a sibling in the 400's or 500's. I don't have any first cousins though, and my sibling who is married was married when I was 9...so I might be totally and completely off, but that's JMO!

Depends on the relation - when my brother gets married I will give him as much as I possibly can afford, no less than $500 for sure.

First cousins I usually give 400, but I definitely don't spend 200 on a shower gift. more like 100.
