A FEW PIX FROM MY LONDON/PARIS TRIP

Original post by shamma

First let me say that I had an absolutely fabulous time, and I am looking forward to going to London again real soon. Paris is another story The people were so mean and everything was so costly and everything was name brand. Now I have to wonder, where do the regular folx shop My GF and I had breakfast and it was the most expensive breakfast I have ever had. $52, 2 slice of toast was $5 wow. The hotel was nice, the sights was nice, but after a day I was ready to return to London. We went every where. Their metro takes some getting used to. Opening the door yourself The smoking everywhere, wow.

Now London I love, love, love. The roads are small and they drive on the other side. The cars are small and so is everything else. We went to Buckingham Palace, Parliament, everywhere. If I had it to do over I would stay the entire 9 days in London.

I will post the pix in the next post.

Thanks to everyone that answered all my questions it made going there and being in both contries that much easier.

Next stop, Amsterdam, Greece and Italy.

Shamma!!! Your pics are great!!! (I love you hair too lol!)

Sorry about the way you were treated in France. I vaguely remember having the same experience. The person I went with spoke French so it did make it easier...but I remember the desserts were awesome. Sorry I'm all about food!

Shamma, I felt the same way about the two cities. I LOVED London but the French could keep Paris. Very rude people, very dirty city.

BTW: that square in London is Trafalgar Square and the column is Nelson's Column, named after a famous general. I believe the National Gallery is situated there, also. It's a beautiful spot.
