Double jealous about the fireplace over here too.
Blue door is super simple to get rid off- just paint it. easy and makes DH happy.

Thanks Ladies .. and I forgot to mention the roof. We are planning to put a new one in probably in a year (it needs it) ... but it's so dark! What were those people thinking?
Actually, no fireplace ... I wish! But Rob says we put one in! One day!
We are not in yet ... we are redoing the entire first floor! So, we closed in November and probably won't be able to move in until end of March (this date always gets pushed back too)!

When we look at houses we think the same thing, what were these people thinking with all the paneling and dark colors...YUCK!!! I love light/airy spaces.

I know Shamma ... I guess we all have different tastes! I don't mind the blue shutters, but the door is just to much!
I actually want to change the siding and shutters (tan siding with cranberry shutters) but Rob thinks I'm nuts. He says and I quote 'the siding is perfectly good, we are not spending $6000 to change the siding now. You'll see once it's powerwashed, you'll like it!'
Well, you see the last time I checked ... when you powerwash the white siding ... it makes it more white - not tan!!! To funny ... but he is right! I just want it all!!!

The shutters are pretty easy to change and not expensive at all. My mom did that last year. To re-side an entire house is $$$$$, but just changing the shutters is $.
I cannot believe what real estate agents call Mint or Diamond. My goodness.
