See I keep my promises and I promise to post my good wedding pictures once I get them back from my photographer!

We definitely need to re-do the landscaping and DH is not crazy about the blue garage door and that gate has got to go ... but this is our first home!

Thanks again ladies ... I can't wait to do the landscaping ... it'll add so much to the front of the house!

I'll definitely post some before and after pics once we are done and settled!!!

For the roof, I was thinking of a dark gray and not so black! Plus, I love the timberlake look!

It si a bautiful house...:)
Look for a lighter roof it will make the upstairs alot lighter... I know because I live in teh smae type of house and we have an industral strength roof...also someone once told us to look at the roof after it snows and see how long it takes to melt...this will let you know if you are loosing any heat from the upstairs....

Cira - you should consider having the siding painted (as well as the shutters) if you really don't like the blue. My parents had this done a number of years ago on their house (this assumes the siding is aluminum and not vinyl). It lasted quite a few years and gave their house a nice face-lift until they were ready to side. Good luck. It's beautiful. Our house looks almost the same - except it's Yellow!!!

Congratulations. It looks beautiful and thats a very nice area.

You must be having fun redoing the entire first floor . Better to do it before you get in. Enjoy your new home.

Teresa ... we may look into painting, we'll see - Rob would have a big paint job .. LOL.
It's not that I don't like the blue and white ... it's just that I like the tan/cranberry more!

Most houses on Long Island have chimneys for the oil-burning furnaces, not fireplaces. Houses with fireplaces usually have two chimneys.
