I don't watch the show regularly, but I did see the episode when they got engaged... and I THINK that the first time they met in person was when he proposed - I think it was an online courtship. I could be wrong though.

they had met a few times before. Originally i do think they met online but they also had seen eachother in person too. I know the parents had also met before that too i think.

well not like they know eachother that well anyways. I think they only spent a little time with eachother and you have to figure that each time they were together they had to have a chaperone with them lol, its crazy. Plus i think most of their relationship was online.

How old are they? They look so young!

I do find them to be extremely conservative, but how respectful and disciplined the 18 kids are is insane! Comparing them to Jon and Kate (relatively 'normal') you don't ever see these kids misbehaving. Now that is something remarkable.

i know its crazy how well behaved they are. They never act out, in public they never misbehave and know how to act properly. They even all go food shopping together and each knows what to do and its a very easy process, so i do give them credit for that. I think the son is around 18-19 years old, they are young but i think they marry young normally.

Watched it last night and couldn't stop laughing when he started to sing! So they go from kissing for the 1st time to sex all in one day!

They are too weird for me!

yes, i watched it. i think my biggest problem were the wedding vows, where they had to say that the husband now has authority over the wife. and that the girls father was like god has ordained that now her husband will have authority over her, and that's a good thing. it's just a bit too crazy for me. and the one dugger daughter who said the only thing different about their wedding vows was to have as many kids as god wants them to have. yes, that was definitely different, but so was saying that the husband will have authority over the wife.

OMG....its nuts....and of course DH watched it with me and he goes 'haha those are great' i looked at him like he had three heads along with the evil eye.....and he shut up fast. When he started to sing to his new wife...haha im sorry but DH and i were soooo embarrassed and kept screaming STOP STOP at the TV.....im sorry but that wasn't romantic to me.

When they finally kissed for the first time...the look on her face was funny...she looked like it wasn't even good...haha. Im sorry but its great having a big family but they are all just a little weird. No drinking, no dancing.....sandwhiches and juice for food. Plus how do you not at least kiss someone while dating....they barely hugged on another. Certain forms of affection other then sex can be very important in a relationship....

Yeah but it would be so funny if they go from riding in the car listening to the innocent first time sex tape to like wild sex and she is a total freak in the bedroom.....haha. Yeah kissing and sex all in the same night....thats a big day....

Totally creepy..and the dad said its every womans dream to ahve her husband sing to her. NOPE, I would have left my wedding.

What was worse was when her dad said they were going to have a great time without drinking or dancing W T F? No drinking...fine, but no dancing?!? What is this Footloose? LOL

I DVR'd it!!! I'm so psyched to watch it.. I'm amazed by these people!!! The parents were on the view the other day.. and the mom said she wants more kids.. they have 18 now.. RELAX people!

AWKWARD!

I turned it off when the 18 year old with no experience in ANYTHING (especially dating!) was going on about how if you date too many people then you give everyone a piece of your heart and then, when you get married, there is nothing left...I think he was using 'dating' as a euphemism for something else!

I do want to say that in an episode from after they were married, the family was all sitting in a circle and the girl was sitting on his lap (sorry i can't remember their names!) I thought that was REALLY progressive for them. In the ep, he was really supportive of her and it was a refreshing change from, like was mentioned, shows like John and Kate.

But I agree that it's a really strange religion with parts I disagree with, and nothing I would ever be interested in! But it seems to work for them!

i did..my sister and I were texting back and forth the whole time making fun of it.. haha

when he sang..i almost died laughing... im so mean!
