Re: advice needed... breaking up with a friend.. LONG sorry....

WOW - we had CRAZY friends like that too .. Just were OUT OF CONTROL with the drinking and being really obnoxious.

After the guy (real life name is in fact Bill ) got naked while people sang him happy birthday at his surprise party than put on a onesie YUP an adult onesie and sat on my lap and then told me to go fukk myself because we wanted to leave... we never spoke to them again.

They tried a few times to contact DH but we just ignored the calls. Eventually they stopped calling.

Id just ignore them at this point. Theres no reason to explain yourself why you are not going to hang out anymore. You dont owe them anything - they are MESSES!

I would honestly just ignore them. They live in PA, it's not like you see them everyday. If they constantly ask you why you aren't speaking to them, just say exactly what you said--that their behavior at your wedding made you realize you guys have nothing in common, and you do not want to discuss it anymore. That's that. I'm sorry you have to go through that though .

Laura, you read my mind. It's not like they're just going to show up knocking on your door. Out of sight, out of mind

ITA!!! I don't get people sometimes!!!

I would just ignore them. They cause so much drama in your life and they are far enough away that it is easy to no longer pick up the phone when they call and decline all invitations to hang out. They'll get the point, and if they don't, be honest and say that you don't think you have anything in common with them and after their antics at the wedding you don't need that kind of drama in your life anymore.
